99 S-10 Engine hesitates only when warm

I just bought this truck. It runs well, but, when it warms up it starts to miss or hesitate when running. Not constant just every few minutes. It is a 4 cylynder 5 speed stick.

If it has miss and hesitation only warm not cold you may have a coolant temp sensor problem . but if the service engine soon light is off i would chek ignition system(plugs, wires ,boots).most likely one of the cylinders missfires when hot.

I have 2001s10 2.2 runs fine until it warms up then it hesitates and misses no engine light. What could cause this

Start with cleaning the throttle body inside and IAC motor. Check the air filter, Dirty, replace it. After this look at the coil or ignition module.

93 chevy lumina runs rough dies and won't start after it warms up

Back firing is usually an indication of a timing issue

The timing chain is most likely worn & jumped a couple
of teeth or the distributor was installed wrong,if you recently
had work done

Hesitation when engine is warm seat toledo v5 2001 170bhp; have changed maff sensor idles better now but still hesitates on exceleration and misses

check first for restricted fuel filter or defective fuel pressure, try plugging the return line of the pressure regulator if it runs ok..replace the regulator but remember not to run the engine for a minute.its just the procedure of testing the regulator..ok?

Engine runs fine when cold, hesitates when warmed

The EGR valve is closed when the engine is cold and should open when warmed up. Have all componets check to see if they are functiong correctly. Auto Zone provides a free computer scan at no charge . They will avise you what is in need or replacing and how much for the part. These parts are easily installed too

I had this problem also and it turned out to be related to the cold start system. cant remember the part name but it was causing the hesitation problem.

Car gets warm and starts hesitating on acceleration

Hi,
this could be something in the fuel pump. As the cold motor draws more fuel, it may just be just ok for the engine, but after it is warm, it draws less and may "suffocate" it that way. Same goes for air filter, take a peek if it is not ready for replacement. Has this happened suddenly, or has it occurrend during a long perion of time?
