2014 Holden Barina radio turns itself off takes out the sound of the indercators and then it has shut down the whole dash and a last straw shut down the motor I have now had three radios put in

Hi i dont think the radio is the problem,I would be looking for a common denominator. If these isues are connected I would be looking at major power/earth connections starting at the battery.I believe the indicator tick sound comes through the speaker so if radio stops functioning no sound will come from the indicator.Check all earth terminals at battery and where it connects to chassis. Also check the positve terminal Lift the red plastic terminal cover and check all cable terminals are tight (use a small amount of force)some techs seem to miss this area because of the plastic cover. If all appears ok take it to Holden preferably when the no start issue is apparant. Good luck

Vehicle acts like dead battery but it is not.

It is a type of security system. Like you said all functions are turned off until you push button because battery is disconnected from system.

Why don't I have juice to dash on 2008 BMW 535 I? I installed an electric water pump and when I try the bleeding procedure their was 0 juice to dash and interior except the start button, which when p

Fairly obvious that you made an error in wiring the electric water pump, and have blown one or more fuses (or may have damaged some wiring).
Disconnect the water pump entirely (for now), and recover your electrical system (check all fuses, breakers, and fusible links).

NOTE THAT THE ELECTRIC WATER PUMP IS A HIGH ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION MOTOR, AND MUST RECEIVE ITS POWER DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY THROUGH A CONTROL RELAY, preferably from the STARTER primary power wire. You will need to use an inline breaker (properly rated for the electrical current rating in AMPS for the electric water pump), and you will need to use a fairly robust relay to turn the water pump on and off with ignition switch power.

If you are unfamiliar with electrical principles related to high-amperage applications in a vehicle, I'd recommend that you refer the installation of your after-market water pump to someone with the necessary experience, so that you do not further damage your vehicle.

Best of luck to you!!

1998 Holden Jackeroo 3ltrd has this problem engine check light comes on but scan says no faults found?

Not a brand we are very familiar with here in the States, just try to get your information about the systems the computer is suppose to monitor and work from there.

The defect that is triggering the system light can be the diagnostic computer itself. Sometimes computer systems embed a battery within the unit. It is common on desktop computers and some automotive.

These are "stay alive" power devices. Your car is 15 Years old and even if the battery units are rechargeable you have a lot of cycles. A capacitor can do the job, but they do not have an infinite life either.

You may simply need to check your Relays, primarily the Ignition. Some of the Relays have one function when turned on and then a second function when turned off. That second function may be supplying the diagnostic computer with "stay alive" power. You need to see how power gets to the cars' computer when the car is shut off.

Obtaining wiring diagrams can be difficult. In the States, some Autoparts stores offer Web help. In the early days, some Libraries had wiring books for cars. I can only suggest contacting Holden for what you need.

Please rate my info.

Ive recently been given a diesel mazda ute. id say its about 15 years old. apparently it just stopped starting about 2 weeks ago. when you try to turn it over it just makes a tick noise, just the once....

battery not charging and now its flat ,put battery on charge and see what happens ,a diesel needs a lot of power to crank owing to the high comperssion of the engine ,well it is a compression ignition defined engine so charge battery and see what happens ,leave it on charge for at least 24 hrs and then try it or it could be the starter motor but i suspect the battery first as its also the easiest to change

Amp light will not go off. While on the road, 15 mins., lost a/c power, turn signals wouldn't function, power steering temporarily froze. Added power steering fluid. Now, steering okay but amp light still...

Usually an amp light is an alternator not charging. Put the voltmeter leads across the battery terminals,( red---- positive, black--- negative). The meter should read between 13 to 15 volts with the car at idle, any less, it needs replacing. Check the battery with the car off, meter should read about 12 volts, less than that, there is a weak or dead cell in the battery and not holding the charge. If all is good, the turn signal flasher unit is bad, it is a small round cylinder type object, usually located under dash in the fuse box driver side, just pull it out. The 4 way flasher is of the same type, so make sure you get the right one. Turn on the emergency flashers and put your finger on one of them. the one that isn't clicking, is the one toy want.
