scan the compute on it and you may get a code for whats causing that to happen,i have seen dirty fluid cause that to happen before, Well if the transmission coolant system isn't working right or the transmission is getting too hot that could be affecting the transmission fluid and that could cause the different transmission fluid pressures to be way off.

Needs new tranny how much would it cost for a used one

I would call a few local salvage yards in your area and see what their rates are for a used transmission are, ask what warranty they offer most of them are a 3 month 90 day warranty on transmissions and engines however If i had to take an educated guess i would say anywhere from 300-600 depending on the mileage of the transmission they are removing, lower mileage transmissions would be a little more higher mileage ones will be a little less in most cases at least where im from thats how the yards are with these kinds of used parts....

How do I change the transmission fluid?

Under your car, you need to locate the transmission, big metal thing attached to your motor. On the underside there is a bolt, usually bigger than the rest, that you need to unscrew and it will begin pouring out so have a catch can readily handy. Be careful not to mix up the oil drain plug and the transmission drain plug. Whats the difference? One is on the oil pan, one is on the transmission or transmission pan.
