SOURCE: Driver side keyless entry does not work. Other

does the door unlock with a key? if not, then you may have a disconnected linkage. You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Way cheaper to do it yourself than have the dealer do it... cost me $30-50 to do it myself and the dealer was gonna charge me $300

Is there a fuse for remote entry system on a 2000 taurus

There are fuse's for the module that controls the keyless entry . If fuse's were the problem you would have a lot more problems then just keyless entry . Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob. There are also relay's , door unlock an door lock relays , located in the central junction box . Under the dash some place . There are controlled by the GEM - genaric electronic module . Ford's BCM - body control module .

Keyless entry wont unlock

TThere is probably a problem with the door unlock relay or the passenger door module. The passenger door modules on Jeep Cherokee have had a lot of problems and there are a couple of Technical Service bulletins published by the manufacturer as a result of these failures.

Diagnose keyless entry system of 1997 Cherokee

Before replacing any Relay. Try disconnecting the negative side of the battery for at least 2-minutes to de-energize the security system, re-setting itself. The reconnect the battery and try your security (and options) system again.
The only other big question that you will have to know: is this a factory installed security system or an aftermarket security system? This makes a difference in security systems, relays etc.

Key Pad Entry does not work

does the key pad light when you press a button at night? If yes, the fuse is ok.
Do you have the plastic card with the permanent code in your owner manual packet? If yes, tryit.
report back.

Keyless Entry The keyless entry keypad is hardwired to the GEM. The GEM interprets the inputs from the keyless entry keypad and then controls the associated operation. The keyless entry keypad will be illuminated for five seconds when any button is pressed. Additionally, it will request the illuminated entry feature to turn the courtesy lamps on. If a lock all doors code is entered, the illumination will turn off, as well as request the illuminated entry feature to turn off the courtesy lamps. When pressed, the keyless entry keypad supplies the ground signal to the GEM or the GEM receives a signal from the keyless entry remote transmitter. Then the GEM outputs a ground signal to the appropriate lock or unlock relay which supplies the power to the actuator to lock or unlocks all doors, including the luggage compartment. The keyless entry remote transmitter also unlocks the liftgate or activates the panic alarm by sending a signal to the GEM.

Door lock

Make sure the battery on your Keyless Entry remote is a working battery.

If thats not it, it could very well be the actual button on your Keyless Entry remote being faulty. But it could also be a relay in the car aswell. Depending on the cost of a Relay versus the cost of a Keyless Entry remote, I would try to replace either/or and try again, whichever is cheaper. The Relay may be cheaper, but your Key-FOB sounds like it could be the cause.
