Change fuel filter

Remove the screw from the metal bracket that is holding the fuel filter. It is located right below the battery to the right. To get the quick connect fuel line fittings off. YOU WILL NEED A DISCONNECT TOOL. O'Reillys or Auto Zone should have the tool pack of (6) The small gray one fits the 2001 Sportage. Put the plastic tool under the fuel line fitting and squeeze together. The fuel line will pop off the old filter. To remove the rear fuel line, go under the vehicle and use the tool on the fuel line. There is a rubber hose with 2 quick connect fittings. One end attaches to the filter and the other end attaches to a metal fuel line under vehicle. Remove the fitting that attaches to the metal line since there is no room on the back of filter for the tool to fit. Once you get the whole assembly out of the car.... you can work on getting the fitting off the rear of the old filter. Be very careful not to damage the plastic quick connect fittings! KEEP YOUR FACE CLEAR OF THE FILTER A SMALL AMOUNT OF GAS WILL COME OUT!!!!!

I want to know how to service my 2000 Audi A3 myself. Oil change, oil filter change, plugs. What tools do I need?

You'll need some Metric wrenches and sockets and a rachet. Also, an oil filter wrench to fit your oil filter and a spark plug gapper. Don't forget to check the air filter and replace the fuel filter.

Need To Know How To Change A Fuel Filter?

To replace the fuel filter ,You should use "line" wrenches to loosen the fittings (will prevent "rounding "of the fittings.) you can unbolt the holder from the frame to ease removal of the filter..Check for an arrow for direction of flow.Use a drain pan to catch the fuel that comes out.Be cautious that you don't twist the lines when loosening the fittings. The fittings on the lines should spin not the filter. Dont overtighten the fittings .Remount on the frame. Run the engine and check for leaks.!

How do i fit a performence air filter on my mk2 golf gti?

you want to look for the original airbox (where the air filter is) first and find the clamp that connects the pipe to the box, loosen the clamp and remove the box and then see if the air filter fits, if not then take the pipe off so you can see the intake or carb entrance put the air filter on there and that should do it

How to change a fuel filter for a 1986 Toyota Camry 2s-e engine

the fuel filter should be located just below to the right of the air filter box. this is in the right side of the engine compartment. to change the fuel filter you must remove the air filter box. the top fitting is a banjo fitting and the bottom fitting is a standard screw in flared fitting.

How do you change a fuel filter on a 1998 e-150 ford club wagon

This fuel filter has snap lock type fittings on the ends of the fuel filter, you need a fuel line disconnect tool to remove the filter, you will insert the tool into the hose ends at the snap locks, push in on the fuel line while pushing the tool into the fitting then you can slide the fitting off the fuel filter assembly. Hope this helps

Problem: I cannot get new oil filter on because AC hardlines are in the way. New oil filter is 1/4 inch longer than current filter.

try a different brand of filter.  They're usually marked as fitting your car if the connection actually mates up and seals not on they're length.  A different brand of filter will have a different length and should fit.  Just take the original one with you so that you can ensure you're getting the right size.
