I would double check all u joints for rust, play, and proper lubrication. If it is squeeking, than it is likely it is u-joints. Let me know if you need anything else.

Sounds like your u-joists are dry and if they're dry they should be greased or replaced . There also could be a rock or some other object in your rear brake.

Sounds like a ujoint is frozen in the rear driveshaft.Remove the rear driveshaft(block the wheels so it does not roll on to you).check the joints, there should be no play and you should have very little resistance when rotating the joint. It is most likely the joint at the rear axle.

If it is not your brakes, or your rear shoes, being so they have been replaced, you may have a wheel bearing bad in the rear, or you may have a caliper that is not releasing pressure on the slides causing the brake to drag just a little. I think sense it is coming from the rear of the vehicle i am going to lean towards it being a wheel bearing. One more thing you can try, push the emergency or parking brake on half way when you hear the squeak not enough to lock up the brakes but enough so the brakes touch the drum. If the squeak stops then your parking brakes are you culprit!

Squeak when starting out in a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quadcab. It is not brakes and it doesn't do it all the time. It gets faster as you go though.

Hello mibparker: If you are sure the brakes are not the source of the problem? I would check a few other things. If the sound is from the front end area. Look at the backing plates on the front rotor area. Make sure they are not touching the rotors. If the noise is from under the truck i would look close at the drive line u-joints. If the are bad they can vibrate or they will squeak or even tweet. This will increase and decrease wit speed of the truck.
