Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Window seems to have come off track. how do i remove door panel without tearing it up?
You have phillips or torx screws to take out. Some may be hidden behind plugs. 1-take all seeable screws oit. 2-use a flat screwdriver and carefully pry all plastic clips between the door panel and the door body. Panel should lift off unless all screws are not removed.

SOURCE: 1999 Jeep, Window is off track!
Ahhhh....had the same problem. This was a challange for me. I discovered that an ancher on the window where the cable connects had broken of. I was going to buy and new assembly but it was a 170 bucks. So I took the window out...there is a pin that holds the window to the assembly, once you remove the pin the window slide out the top and the assembly can slide through the door opening. I cleaned the broken piece of plastic that the cable was attached to and used (very important) JB weld. It's a bonding product you can get at any auto store. I glued the piece together and covered it like it was frosting (it sets fast) and put the whole thing together again. This was a year ago and it still works. 6 buck but there was a bit of a learning curve. It works though!

i CAREFULLY REMOVED THE PANEL, THE SPEAKER, TAKING PHOTOS ALONG THE WAY (INCLUDING PHOTOS INSIDE THE DOOR WHERE I COULD NOT SEE), AND EVENTUALLY REMOVED THE TRACK WITH THE MOTOR AND CABLE. i FOUND THE PLASTIC MOUNT FOR THE UPPER CABLE BROKEN. AFTER MUCH STUDYING I FOUND THE CABLE SNAGGED ON THE REEL. I CLEARED THE SNAG AND LUBED THE REEL. I DRILLED A HOLE TO ACCEPT THE CABLE END AT ABOUT THE RIGHT DISTANCE , INSERTED A SCREW AND EPOXIED THE SCREW AND END IN POSITION, I HUNG THE ASSEMBLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR , PLUGGED THE SWITCH IN AND TURNED THE CAR ON -- THE TRACK WORKED PERFECT. I REPLACED ALL COMPONENTS, ATTACHED THE WINDOW, REPLACED THE PLASTIC REATTACHED THE LINKAGES TO THE LOCK AND DOOR OPENER. WORKS GREAT. SAVED SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE COST OF A COUPLE OF HOURS AND A SCREW AND JB WELD EPOXY.MEMBRANE, REINSTALLEED THE SPEAKER,

Testimonial: "THat information really helped thanks alot!!!"
I have the exact same problem on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004. The rear passenger window rolls down only from the rear passenger window and won't go up or down from the front. It has to be in the wiring because the problem was intermittent initially and a new window motor does the exact same thing. If you figured it out or have the wiring diagram please let me know.
