Question about Cars & Trucks
My 1997 ford taurus will start up by itself when it gets to cold out because it has remote start but i want to turn this feature off cause its wasting my gas.
The easiest way to fix it would be to kill power to the remote device or pull the starter wire at the solenoid. You would have to reconnect the starter when you want to crank the engine.

the automatic gas shut off switch is located in the trunk tucked up under the wheel well I think on the left side for that car. you need to feel around for it and press a button on it to reset it.
