I'll start by saying the folks like me who answer questions on fixya are all volunteers. We are not paid.
So we pick and choose the questions we answer. The ones we don't feel we can help get skipped. And not everyone logs into the website every day.
I have forwarded your profile to the website, so they should be aware of your dissatisfaction with the website.

Communication is so bad, at least the ability to review said communication, I am not certain after all this confusion where are at. My original remains a problem. Thanks Stephen.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Best way to access screen on CD4E FWD/AWD Transmission

You got issues other than filter or screen worries

Screens don't clog on a completely wasted & burnt
out unit & material filters don't clog enough to cause

You need someone that knows that unit to diagnose it

I would check bulletins & other internet sites
Ford has some really bad transaxles & I haven't
checked the CD4E for you

I used to own a trans shop & to be honest, I really
don't want to know,as I don't get a good feeling,
I will leave that up to you to research

I do know if you using any trans with issues your on
life support & need you check book handy

What does it mean when the check engine soon warning light comes one?

If you read your owners manual you will learn something,
not much, but have to start somewhere

Check lights have been on all vehicles since 1983, some
31 years. SO--I don't know what to tell you, when you say
you don't know what it means

You can speculate all you want, what you need to do is check for
codes, again what most people have done for 3 decades, look
them up & then have a repair shop diagnose the code fault

You provided no vehicle year,engine,OBD2 Codes

Have no vehicle history on maintenance,or if someone
just put the problem in there

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 15mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan. I got a "tune up" approx. 2 weeks ago with new spark plugs, fuel filter & air filter. It did fine driving around town & on a 130 mile trip. I filled up with...

Sounds like you got a tank of bad gas. That would easily cause your issues. Start by draining as much as you can, put a can of Seafoam in there, add a few gallons of fresh gas, drive to the gas station and tank up, and run that tank down until your gas light comes on before adding more. You may end up needing a fuel filter or plugs again, but with minimal run time on the bad gas, you'll probably be fine.

don't understand about the water- but do know how to cure the sludge issue
- drain oil completely- replug pan- add 1 and half gallons of K1 KEROSENE-enough that it shows full on dipstick-DO NOT START! - let sit for 24 hours - drain and put OLD oil back in -run for a couple minutes- this will ensure all kerosene out- then drain oil and change filter- did this on a 99 and got a **** lot of slime out of pan

NO HEAT. Blower / fuse / relay / fans - are OK. Noticed low level of antifreeze. Topped off & blead system several times. Topped off again. All operating temps are good. No wet floor board discovered...

the flap directing air to the heater core may be jammed. otherwise, the valve on the in flow side of the hose may be frozen, or partially restricting the flow of hot coolant. good luck!
