2002 Grand Cherokee Low cooling Warning

Recently in the morning, I am getting a low coolant message. The car is not overheating or running warmer than usual. I toped off the overflow container but the message does not go away. Any idea?

You might fill it at the radiator itself..the overflow dosent allow all the water to get in where you need it to sometimes.i would check the radiator itself

It is probably is the heater hose or the heater return hose.

I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It gets very very hot and then stops running. Can you please tell me why

Have you checked the coolant level in the radiator and coolant recovery tank? If low, add until full level is reached. Other causes could be a malfunctioning water pump, slipping serpentine belt, or stuck thermostat. Do you have a temperature gage or just a warning light? When this happens and you stop the engine for a few minutes, are you able to restart an d keep going? If so, I'd look at the thermostat as the problem.

Check the cooling fan motor and of course the fluid level. If the temp is changing thru the heater it could just be low on coolant , leaking from ? Two wheel drive have an elecrtic cooling fan only, make sure its spinning up when temp is 3/4. If not its probably the fan motor. Can be checked with a test light .

I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee and am having coolant problems. Every say 2 weeks or so, the coolant low level warning will come on and the overflow tank will be empty. radiator is still full though...

The hose is an over flow drain. If you've seen no signs of leaks then most likely your radiator cap is bad. The cap helps to pressurize the cooling system, if it is bad it allows to much coolant out to the over flow tank and the extra is dumped while your driving. When you turn off your engine the fluid is drawn back into the radiator and your coolant mysteriously disappears.

Overheating while Eating

Bad themostat, dirty radiator (the front of it), corroded interior core of the radiator, weakening water pump, bad radiator fan.....just to name a few. More than likely? Low antifreeze level, or the thermostat.

You say you changed the fan relay and the thermostat? when was the last time you had the cooling system flushed? you could have a blockage in your cooling system that could be keeping the coolant from circulating..
