This is not the Headlight Switch. You need to Try and Find the Fuse that is Blown for the Running Lights. When you first turn on the Lights Before you get the Headlights on all the Way, The Running Lights come on First. Know what I Mean? There is a Fuse just for these and it will control the Dash lights also. Though there is a Fuse for the Dash Lights also. Get a Good Flashlight and hold Behind the Fuses and you will be able to see any that are Blown Easier. Let Me Know! Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

1994 dodge dakota my headlights and tail lights and brake lights don't work my abs and parking brake lights are on my dash lights don't work either I replaced the headlight switch and still no

These are all different circuits. The brake lights are on a 10amp fuse - the headlights are on a 50amp fuse - and the parking and dash lights are on a 20amp fuse.
Do you have power going into the headlight switch and the brake light switch ?

I have a very clean 89 Crown Victoria from Florida! An old lady owned it bought brand new! I resently replaced all external lights now when I turn on my lights all my front turn signal lights my dash...

The dimmer switch for the headlights only affect the headlights. The dimmer control for the dash lights only affect the dash lights.
So if the parking lights are going off too, I would say its the headlight switch. Thats about the only thing that involves all three circuits.
It could also be the harness plug at the headlight switch.
BTW - the turn signal lights are another circuit from the parking lights.

1994 silverado illumination on instrument panel doesn't work, parking lights and tail lights do not work but headlights and brakelights work fine. All fuses are good. Is this a bad dimmer switch?

No. Dash lights being out could be a bad headlight switch, since the dash lights are routed through the headlight switch, not the dimmer switch. Park and tail lights also controlled by the headlight switch.

I'd be willing to bet your dash lights don't work either when you turn the headlight on.change the headlight switch, it has a short, it's only about 11 dollars at advance auto, and is fairly easy to replace. my 93 chevy did same thing, changed headlight switch, problem solved

1994 grand Am Dash & Rear Lights

Check all the fuses, if they're ok then check the switch or wiring, it might be that the wire running from the switch to the park / dash lights is fried. Does the front park lights work? (turn switch to first click, not second one. This is park lights, second click is full on headlights) Your park and dash lights are probably all connected to a single wire from the switch via the fuse box.
