2001 mazda mpv will not start in cold and/or wet weather

Did you change the ignition cables as well? Ignition cables are made of carbon fiber conductors. They may look ok from the outside, but as they get older the carbon fibers get brittle and minute cracks form in the silicone jackets that lets moisture in. How many miles to you have on it? You may be due for new spark plugs also.

Wont start

I had a similar problem a few months ago. Ready to get major engine work done, got fire, timing was right, getting gas.....
An experienced mechanic asked where the car had been parked and how long. I had parked it in grass, over a wet spot. The battery was dead too. He told me to park it over a warm spot for a few days and try a new battery. Did that, with the hood open, replaced the battery, and it fired right up. Something about being too damp and/or the voltage in the battery was too weak.. All I know is it worked, and I drive it every day and don't park in wet grassy spots.

Where is the transmission filter for the mazda mpv 2002 located?

Unless they have something new out there that we don't know about, it is in the tranny, you have to pull the pan, dump about 5 qts fluid and get to the filter, clean off the magnet, fill her back up with fluid, you should be all set. Hope this helps.

Wet carpet in mazda mpv

The drain hose empties on the passenger side, front, behind the front wheel and in a bit towards the center of the car. You need to run a long wire up it to clear it.

Pull all your plugs (one at a time and replace afterwards) and make note of any plugs that maybe black or wet. Do a compression test on those cylinders. You made the plugs hotter with the new coil but the potential flooding amy have just caught up. If this is any help, please check good or fixya. Tahnk you
