Question about 1998 Cadillac Catera
How to install an ignition coil on a 1998 cadillac catera?
We are talking about the 1998 model right?..It does indeed have a coil. I have a 1998 Catera..It is ONE big coil. It sits on top of the engine behind the intake. All plug wires go to this one coil. I just bought one..Be prepared to spend about $350 for the coil!!

Get the side you need...1-3-5 or 2-4-6. They are bolted on top of the engine over the spark plugs. The right side (as viewed from the front) coil pack requires moving some other parts to get to it.

It doesn't have a coil. It has a bank of 3 coils with direct contact to the plugs.
Remove the cover on each side which is on top of the valve covers. This will expose the coil packs.
