check the heater blower, is the fan spinning? is there proper coolant? is your thermostat working on the engine? can you feel any warmth in the heater hose coming from the engine toward the heater core under the dash when you turn the heater and fan on?

My 2004 tralblazer a/c will blow out the floor when you put it on the dash vents why?

The heater / a/c vents are controlled by vacuum,or electronic devices. What is happening in your Trailblazer is the Vent Doors are either stuck in a open or closed position thus only having air flow to the floor vents only..The actual vent door is located in the heater box next to the blower motor.

there is a small switch behind one of the switch blank off plates to the right of the steering column. It is a very small switch about 6" deep into the dash, hard to find easy to reset.

Where is inertia switch

The inertia switch which is under the dash just below the heater case behind the kick panel on the passenger side. There is a “Fuel Reset” indicator light on the dash instrument cluster which will illuminate if the inertia shut-off has been activated and needs to be reset.

Somehow (after being in the shop) my dash panel

Find the SELECT and RESET BUTTONS near the instrument cluster. Press SELECT until E/M is highlighted on the cluster then press reset. This will toggle the cluster and heater controls back to English.

Need to replace heater core in 76 Eldorado convertible

You dont have to remove the dash but it might make it a easier job if you did. The heater core is removed from under the R/S dash. after removing the lower dash covers, glove BOX, A/C programmer. Then from under the hood, disconnecting heater hoses, and removing heater case mounting bolts. Then finally jockying the heater box from under the dash without spilling coolant fronm the heater core is a trick. Hope this helps.

Replaced the battery, now my heater wont work or the A/C, also

chekc your fuses. they should be located under the dash. when you hooked up the battery there could have been a power surge that blew the fuses.

Fuel pump not activating

Bobby,
Sorry you got the task of replacing a heater core. But never the less there is a fuel cut out /roll over switch located in the passenger kick panel and the harness runs up thru the dash. Two things could have happened.
1-the fuel cut out triped. Reset by pulling the passenger side kick panel and reset by pushing the red or yellow reset button. This should cure the problem.
2-the harness to the cutout switch was disconnected while working under the dash or pinched while the installing the blower assy. you can take a DVOM and check the resistance at the switch harness while disconnected from the switch. If the meter reads less than .003 you have a short. If not while disconnected check the switch by depressing the button and check across the terminals. The meter should have an audiable mode and listen for a beep. This means the switch is good. If no noise replace the switch.
Good Luck.

Hi jrm the smoke under the wing is the fuel fired heater and is normal. the noise is the heater motors for the heater flaps, there is a jag fix but you have to replace all the motors just ignore it.  Try changeing the filter for the heater under the left side scuttle panel thats below the black plastic panel below the screen that will help the steaming up     D
