SOURCE: heat works on driver side, passenger side blows cold air.

Did you check your coolant level or was it low and you added to it at some point? If so the system my need to be bleed or worst case the thermostat is going bad.

SOURCE: 2001 cadillac catera ebtcm removal how to

You need to remove the upper rad hose and the battery.
Then, use a torx to remove the 6 screws (hard to get at) which will remove the EBTCM from the brake modulator. You also must disconnect the two electrical connectors (the big one has a slide tab).
There are places you can send the module to and rebuild with warranty. I took a module from a 99' and installed it in my wife's 01'. Now the speedo, odometer, cruise and power steering work perfect and no TCM / ABS light.

SOURCE: no heat in 2005 Chevy Impala,,,,air worked fine

GM Yuck! I'm surprised you haven't had a bad anti-theft system yet!

No heat is due to a bad heater core. Or the flap that directs the air inside the venting gets stuck in one position and you have to tear apart the whole dang thing to get to it.

SOURCE: I have 2001 Pontiac Bonneville My heat works but

Your passenger side temperature door actuator is bad. You can access the actuator by removing the glove box & hush panel. The actuator is on the side of the HVAC box. If you can gain access to the actuator watch the center of the actuator as you change the temp on the control head, if the actuator does not move it is bad, if it does, the door inside the HVAC box is bad. Most likely its the actuator. If you remove the actuator & open it up you will most likely find the large center plastic gear is cracked all the way through. It is held in place by 2 or 3 7/32 screws. Once you replace it, disconnect your battery wait 30 seconds and reconnect it to reset the HVAC control head so it can relearn your actuator positions. It can take up to 5 minutes for the control head to go through it's relearn procedure. You can try resetting the actuator first , but make sure your radio is turned off before you disconnect the battery and if your luck, the actuator may not have any broken parts and the gears may just need to be freed up and lubed. Good luck friend and hope this helps.

your blend door on your passenger side is most likely stuck in the cold position. Chances are you cable is broken. Good luck.

Locating the heat actuator for my 1999 Cadillac catera blows only cold air on drivers side

For each side of the vehicle, there is an air mixing valve buried inside the dash and controlled by an electric actuator. This can be a very complicated problem because the HVAC control system in this car is complicated. First step would be to use a code scanner to see if any error codes (DTC's) are set and proceed from there. If codes are set, you can try disconnecting the negative lead on the battery and then reconnecting it a few minutes later. If that doesn't work, determining the problem and fixing it is a job for a dealership.

My 1998 cadilac catera blows only hot heat with the ac on, trying to find out what would cause this . the pressure guage when refilling the ac always hits the hot /high area how can i fix it so i can...

there is about 6 actuators that open and close the doors that divert hot or cold air to certain vents on both sides of car (because of dual climate controls) there is 1 main actuator that opens a door between the heater core and the a/c but most of the dash will have to come out to fix properly , or do what I did disconnect the arm or wires from the actuator and manually open to the position you want it at . My a/c dont work and I had no heat over the winter so mine are set 2 always put out heat when the controls are on. You can turn your heat and a/c controls on and off and hear them running, the problem is the plastic gears get stripped out, some of the doors may not want to stay open in the position you want so I tied them up with a wire

1998 catera has no heat on driver side but has heat on pass

The first issue is to reprogram the blend doors for the HVAC system. You can do this yourself by pressing on the Off/On button and the drivers side temperature control knob at the same time for five seconds. Then release the buttons and you should hear the doors moving as the system reprograms itself. Good Luck.

I am a owner of a 2000 cadillac catera and my driver and passanger side vents blow only cold air when the heat is on. Please help!

THIS PROBLEM OF NO HEAT IS CAUSED BY A FAILED AC/HEATER AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL BLEND DOOR OR BY THE MOTORIZED ACTUATOR THAT MOVES THAT DOOR, THESE ARE THE ONLY PARTS THAT CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM, WHICH IS COMMON IN LATE MODEL CARS SINCE THE 90'S, THE REAL PROBLEM IS THAT THE DASH MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CAR TO ACCESS THESE PARTS.
