1987 chevy van g20 throttle position sensor , would that make my van hard starting and engine race?

This problem does not sound like a tps, It sounds more like the idle air control valve. It controls your idle by varying the amount of air at idle,If it is not working it can cause the problems you are having

1987 Ford Ranger, 4cyl, 2.3L Runs like a charm when cold. Warms up, starts to buckle, oscilates even stalls at a trafic light. Help!

the idle/air control valve is either dirty or faulty. remove the valve and spray some brake cleaner in it, use the whole can to make sure you really get it clean. also try getting some mass airflow sensor cleaner, could be part of the problem. the control valve is located next to the air filter box. small metal cylinder with a couplevacuum lines attached. shouldnt be too hard to find. let me know if that fixes it.

I have a 1996 Dodger Grand Caravan with a 3 liter V6. Over the last two years we've seen the van eithr stall or hesitate when being driven in the rain (not snow or cold temperatures, just rain). It will be...

The problem is moisture could be getting in anywhere. I try to diagnose this problem by using a misting spray bottle of water to get things wet under the hood while the car is running. It's safe as long as you don't spray water down the air intake. Just start the van and wet down anything that looks electronic until the van's idle stumbles or quits. A cracked coil pack or bad plug wire is the most common cause of this problem.

2006 Dodge Caravan Sputtering. Code says EGR Valve. Would an EGR valve cause the van to sputter and run rough?

Absolutely. You'll know if your EGR valve is stuck or malfunctioning because your car will experience symptoms like rough idle and bucking on acceleration.

Nissan truck idles fine, does not acelerate well, and misses

Try to disconnect MAF sensor(mass air flow sensor) or MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) , I don't know which one you have , (suppose to have either one) , when engine running and see if it becomes any better , if it did , then it's your problem.
Just remember one thing , if your check engine light is off now , it will be on after you disconnect any above mentioned components.
Easy to reset , disconnect battery for 30 sec.

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport w/ 3.3l flex fuel and the van is idling odd. I have changed the MAP sensor, the IAC sensor, and the spark plugs and wires, and no change.

Could be that your coil pack has gone bad. This is not a cheap piece though, so you will want to be sure.

Does it run fine when up off of idle, or does it also seem to be missing as you drive down the road.
