Power locks won't unlock 2006 focus

My power locks will lock from both doors but will not unlock from either door switch. I've checked for continuity on the switch for both doors in both the lock and unlock positions and both are working fine. I also replaced fuse 63 on the CJB(central junction box). Both to no avail. I then checked the switch connector and found that the voltage output for locking was correct but that there was no voltage output for unlocking. So naturally I suspected the circuit. I tried to trace the BK/YE wire, for unlocking, back to the CJB to see if I could determine where it looses voltage. However, once it passes through the wire harness from the door to under the dash, I can't seem to find where the BK/YE meets it's connector on the CJB. None of the wires in the corresponding connector are BK/YE. This leads me to suspect that they are bundled into another colored insulator. I have the Haynes manual but the wiring diagram and troubleshooting section for door locks does not seem indicate that the wire is bundled before reaching it's connector on the CJB. I know I'm missing something here, I just don't know what. I know for sure that I have the right connector on the CJB because when I unplug it, the locking function no longer works. Maybe the unlocking wire is routed to a separate connector on the CJB? The wiring diagrams are not specific enough to indicate this, though. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The power door locks are controlled by a Body computer or GEM module . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop because you don't have a clue .

I would check and clean any ground connections you find, you say it works but does not have the power, this means amperage to that circut is low

SOURCE: 1989 to 1990 Powered door conversion

about the only advice i can give is that i did the same thing with a 94 probe base and a 94 gt. i had to take the whole wiring harness out of the gt and put it in the base. It starts from the inside fuse block, goes to both doors, under the front seats, all the way to the fuel pump, abs, tail lights, and pretty much everything from the dash to the rear of the car. If you can get a whole harness, it should work.

SOURCE: 96 ford explorer power locks or windows not working

On a 96' Ford Explorer XLT (like mine) the code is in the trunk of the truck behind the plastic cover where your tire jack and wrench are! There will be two plastic knobs that you will have to turn to open and lift it off, real simple. The code will be on the fender wall, bring paper and pen to write and will need a flash light so you can see the code clearly.

The code is real close the the plasic and kinda hard to see. Hope this helps! If you dont see the above, then try looking around in that area for a 5 digit code, in the fender well or around the jack, or even around the rear washer bottle. Most people have said its around the jack.

Hope this help (remember comment and rated).

Power locks won't unlock 2006 focus

Your power door lock switchs are an input to the GEM - genaric electronic module . Watch what an how you test you could short out transistors inside the module . The GEM after receiving an input from a switch will activate the correct door lock . Probably has DTC'S -diagnostic trouble codes stored . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Check out wiring diagrams here , free .

Power door lock switch?

Sounds like the drivers door lock switch is bad an as far as the auto start remote the contacts under the button get dirty and won't make contact, open the remote like changing the battery and you can probably get at the contact button, if it's a little carbon button they can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and then paper tower with a bit of rubbing alcohol, if it's an actual switch you can try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch. let it dry before you put the battery back in.

I have a 2006 dodge caravan sxt. The pasenger power sliding door is not working. First we noticed that the power lock was not unlocking this door but if we manually unlocked it the power opener would work....

yes the door control module could be your problem or it could be you actuator and door motor, these rarely go bad at the same time, but it does happen, start with the door control module, you can usually get these at the junk yard for a reasonable price, hope this helps.

I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt that I bought used. Didn't have the remote for the door locks. I can unlock all of the doors from the driver's side, however I can't lock them. Any suggestions?

check the lock side of the switch, its not connecting, remove the switch and test it, if the doors will unlock its letting you know the plungers are working, and that to lock its not getting any power to reverse the action, ( check the individual doors, if they work both ways,, then its the drivers door switch that's faulty
