Blue smoke is caused from the engine burning oil along with the gas and oil. This indicates an INTERNAL oil leak. An external oil leak is one that makes spots on the driveway.
The ticking is probably from low oil or low oil pressure. Id have it checked pretty soon by a professional mechanic. It may be time to spend serious money.

Leaking valve guides will cause smoke on start up due to dry cracked valve stem seals. liveable.ticking is likely lifters due to weak lifter springs. recomend to service oil ,increase oil weight, add lucas oil treatment. see if will help lifters. blue smoke can be removed by using sinthic oil. will still burn but wont be seen..

SOURCE: ticking noise in engine and blue smoke in exhaust

the tapping are the lifts tapping because there is no oil getting to the top of the motor. the blue smoke is the oil burning.could be the head gasket is going bad or the piston rings are done in.

you can pull the valve covers and inspect the rocker arms, but you may have a bad main or rod bearing. im leaning toward the main bearing being spun, at least.

SOURCE: my 04 Town & Country has a loud Knock in the motor

Think you have the progression of the problem backwards. Likely the engine got hot and began knocking...THEN your wife put too much oil in there to correct it but that did not work. Do not drive it and have it towed to a shop, or, put an external oil pressure gauge on it and check pressure. Likely you either had an overheat due to a coolant problem or due to a bad engine bearing. Either way, I'll bet you have little or no oil pressure and pretty likely you need an engine. (replacing bearings is an option but generally they will fail again soon after the repair is completed)

2002 windstar made a loud noise and started smoking underneath the van near the front tires

Have the engine properly inspected as it may be a engine failure due to big end failure causing a hole in the engine block.

What could it be when i excellurated i heard a loud noise an oil started leaking under the van and smoking making loud nocking noise

Sounds like big end bearing gone and oil would probably be coming from gear box and engine seam and falling on exhaust its sounds like a pretty stuffed motor but everything is fixable depending on how much coin it coast and if its worth it cya Neil

I presume you are adding oil (topping up). If you are then you have a series problem with piston ring wear inside engine. Oil is getting past the wiper rings and getting into the combustion chamber and burning with the fuel. Need to rebuild or replace engine.

Ticking & white smoke after replaced intake gasket

Sounds like coolant getting into the combustion chamber. Potential causes in order of significance: Intake manifold gasket (might not have been done right), Head gasket(s), cracked cylinder head, or, cracked engine block. Check the oil. If it looks like chocolate milk it means the coolant and oil are mixing
