SOURCE: 99 honda accord sputtered and died

first check your fuses if the fuses are good then have some one turn the key on while you listen at the rear of the car for the fuel pump to hum while it primes the system. if you dont hear any thing and the fuses are good you need to look under the drivers side of your dash for a black box that is bolted to the dash frame called the pgmfi relay. turn the key on and feel if it clicks if it doesnt this is more than likley your problem.I have worked on hondas for my local dealer for the past eight years and this is a very common failure on the accords, acura legends, and rls. the sauder joints on the back of the relays get hot from long term use and deteriorate through the years you could take the cover off the relay and repair these joints with some eetrical sauder but the relay is only eighty bucks and it is way easier to just replace not to mention knowing that the relay contacts are new

SOURCE: '95 Honda Civic EX will not start after cleaning fuel injectors

I would talk to who cleaned the injectors, I don't know if it something they did or not. It could be a stuck open injector. The exhaust would have a raw fuel odor if it was. What it sounds like is a blown headgasket, which can just happen. The exhaust would have a sweet smell to it. Usually starts as a small leak (between cyl. 2 & 3), the engine burns the coolant while driving which you don't see. Then the coolant level gradually drops to a point where the car overheats, which warps the head, causing a large leak. Now you see the coolant burning (white smoke).
Good luck Honda Al

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.

SOURCE: 89 honda civic hatchback, car wont start

If your lazy... sounds like you might be in regards to this car than I would at least pull the plugs (inpect them for corrosion or damage and squirt oil in the cylinders not too much, you cant spin the engine after 4years without lubricating the motor. Than see if it combusts using starting fluid, it it does fire then address the fuel system and clean. Good Luck, I think you will be ok but 4 year old gas is like varnish...

Are you sure you have correct timing? its definetly a fule problem, if timing is good then turn your key to the on position and try to listin for the fule pump to prime. While the key is in on position go to fuel rail, there is a valve on fule rail called sharader valve. Get a small screw driver and press valve in to check if car has fule pressure. if pressure is present then it is incorrect timing or possible bad cam sensor.

Could be the throttle position sensor or the pedal position semsor is playing up, might be that a diagnostic might show what the problem is.

Change the thermostat? Probably did, since you went after the computer. Does the car really over heat? Or does the gauge just go high(bad gauge). If the engine does over heat, then it could be the water pump, or to much sediment in the engine(Something blocked). I have seen both.

I have a 2000 honda crv and im having a hard time to start the car. it has spark, fuel and timing is in right marks. if i disconect the fuel line from the fue rail and crank the car start and dies cus not...

You may have too much fuel and are flooding the engine when the fuel line is connected. This could be due to fuel dripping from leaking injectors or a cold start injector that is stuck open. Or, if the fuel pressure regulator is faulty and stuck in the high pressure mode, too much fuel will be sent through the cold start injector and the engine will flood.

Sounds like fuel problem.Check fuel pressue, make sure pressure is up to specs. If not, change fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator may be bad.

Fuel Problem?

it could be anything in the fuel stsem. i would first start by checking the fuel pressure at the injectors. if that is good then your pump is just fine. then i would check the injectors to mkae sure they are giving the right pulse.

When i start the car it idles ruff and dies sometimes the check engine light is on. It dies while trying to drive when you let off the throttle.

My friend, you seem to have fuel problems. the honda have an electric fuel pump inside the gas tank. it maybe old and does not develop enough fuel to the injectors that explains why it conks out.
first replace the fuel filter, it maybe clogged that fuel cannot flow anymore. if it still conks.
check the fuel pressure at the fuel filter it should develop 32psi or more. otherwise, replace the fuel pump.
the worse is that your injectors are contaminated with FOD, you have to replace the 4 injectors.
