If it has a carburator, it should have points and a condensor. if it's fuel injected, it should be electronic.

Just buy one for an older model mustang like a 1970 302. you will also need a different ign coil and a resistor to drop the voltage to the points.

How do I find out what make, model my 302 engine came out of ? It's in my '66 Mustang. I was told it's a '71 motor, but I would like 2 know what make, model ex (LTD, Maverick, F-100 Pickup) etc.?

Try taking the number off the engine and see if the dealer can search it up. I doubt they only put it in one car model, but the number on the engine should match the frame. Get where I'm going? As old as it is, I wouldn't expect anything though.

Will a bad ignition amplifier require a new distributor on a 1975 mg midget

You don't need a new distributor. Buy a Pertronix electronic ignition kit and it will fit inside your distributor cap and work excellent.

I need the firing order diagram 4 a 1975 ford granada ghia i believe it has the 302 cid v8.Also should'nt the dist.rotor point 2 the number 1 tower at tdc on the compression stroke?

Yes it should but the crankshaft turns 2 times for every one turn of the camshaft. Turn the engine over 1 more complete turn and the rotor should line up.
On a 302, for 1975, the firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. Pistons 1-2-3-4 are on the passenger side front to back and 5-6-7-8 are on the driver's side front to back. #1 piston should be the first plug on the driver's side of the rear clip on the distributor cap, or about 1 o'clock. The distributor turns counter clockwise. Hope this helps.

What all do you need to do to convert a 1992 ford 5.0 out of an f150 from fuel injection to a Carb.? I know that you need a carb, intake, and fuel pump. I'm putting this motor in my 1984 mustang it had a...

There are special electronic fuel pumps you can get for this kind of conversion that wont put to much fuel pressure in the carb and blow the bowls.
As long as the distributer is vacuum advance and for a 302 it should be able to work. The main difference will be the firing order on the truck engine may be different. So you have to make sure your #1 cylinder is at top dead center and route the post on the cap its pointing at to the #1 cylinder and go from there.
The intake and carb you have should also work.

I am surprised your car has a set of breaker points in it. Someone must have performed an engine swap at some time. You should have an electronic breaker less distributor. But, since you don't set the points gap at 35 thousands. The vacuum supply for the advance should be hooked to a ported vacuum off the carb. It should only have vacuum when the carb comes off an idle. If you hook it to a port that has constant vacuum it will be advanced at all times and will cause engine ping and detonation.
