Do they have computer that supply the electronics on a transmission on a 2001 yukon xl

Yes ,don't know which transmission you have ,4L80-E or 4L60-E but both are controlled by the PCM - powertrain control module .
The 4L80-E is a fully automatic rear wheel drive electronically controlled transmission. The 4L80-E provides four forward ranges, including overdrive and reverse. A gear type of oil pump controls shift points. The powertrain control module (PCM) and the pressure control (PC) solenoid, force motor, regulate these shift points. The PCM also controls shift schedules and TCC apply rates. Transmission temperature also influences shift schedules and TCC apply rates.
The 4L60-E transmission utilizes a line pressure control system during upshifts to compensate for the normal wear of transmission components. By adjusting the line pressure, the PCM can maintain acceptable transmission shift times. This process is known as "adaptive learning" or "shift adapts" and is similar to the closed loop fuel control system used for the engine.
Basic Knowledge
Notice: Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to diagnose a powertrain condition without basic knowledge of this powertrain. If you perform diagnostic procedures without this basic knowledge, you may incorrectly diagnose the condition or damage the powertrain components.
You must be familiar with some basic electronics in order to use this section of the service manual. You should also be able to use the following special tools:
A digital multimeter (DMM)

A circuit tester

Jumper wires or leads

A line pressure gage set

Trailblazer pcm

Most likely the computer control module that controls all aspects of your ignition system. Not a backyard mechanic's job, the computer control module could cost in excess of $1,500 just for the part, and not unlike any other inexpensive electrical part they are easily to blow if you make the wrong connections (and there is generally no warranty against such a mistake).

I suggest taking your vehicle to another Autozone or Midas shop and have the diagnostics checked once again. It never hurts to get a confirmation of the problem. Most Autozone and Midas facility perform the basic diagnostics for FREE. Some Autozone and Midas only check the basic dianostics, so it's always adviseable to call ahead and ask first. If it's a job that Autozone thinks that you can perform, they will have the parts and the repair guides avaiable for FREE as well.

Got the push button 4x4 on the dash, can hear it clicking but 4x4 doesnt work period.

There are 3 basic parts to the push button 4x4 system...The control panel with the buttons, a shift control module, that is mounted behind the center console, and a shift control motor, which is mounted to the side of your transfer case..It is tough to narrow down what the problem is. The most likely failed part is the shift control module, but there is still the possibility that the shift control motor has failed, or you have mechanical problems in your transfer case..
