SOURCE: 330 excavator with a c9 cat engine, heavy SMOKE

At the time you made all the above repairs, did you replace the "throw away" turbo charger? The turbo charger commonly sucks oil, and it is not repairable.

Run it without the inner & outer air cleaner. If it isn't the turbo, run the injector cut out test. If the injectors are ok, then you need to replace the injection system hydraulic pump, which is also unrepairable.

What is normal coolant temp range and oil temp range for 2005 cat c13 on road engine


200- 215 or 190, or even 150 on the oil temp . The water temp runs about 15 degrees less than the oil temp. according to Caterpillar. hope this helps; I think there are many variables- how new/old, etc...

Don't put water in it first off, use only 50/50 coolant mix then have the radiator cap tested, it may be defective.

Kobelco sk210 hydraulic excavator engine getting overheated.what is the reason?


the first thing I would check is the radiator fins for a build up of dust preventing the air flow
next would be the viscous fan hub if it has one
next would be to check if it has a radiator cooler for the hydraulic system and if it has then check why the transmission oil is getting so hot
check fan drive belts for condition and tension
Lastly have a compression test done to check for head gasket or cracked heads

Get some BLUE DEVIL and follow the Directions. You have a Blown head Gasket or a Cracked Intake or Head.

I have a 2003 Ford F350 7.3 diesel engine,Engine run fine,but only the problem diesel mix with coolant,what could be the problem.


you may have two hoses that hooked into your radiator that help cool you oil. If the radiator breaks down inside than you need to replace the radiator. The radiator probably has four tubes or hoses bolted to the tanks. Two four transmission two for cooling oil. If so you need to replace the radiator and flush out the cooling system and clean out the water jug. Do not wait long cause you could clogg your heater core with oil. and also cause the vehicle to over heat and that is not good for diesels.leave comment
