You have to remove the rear seat cushion and then you will see an access cover, unsrew that and remove it and you will see the top of the sending unit. The fuel pump is attached to it inside of the tank. Theres a locking ring on top of the sender that you have to remove to get it out alog with unhooking the lines. Its one of the easier ones to do. Usually you have to take the tank out on most cars and that is a PITA!

My 2001 Chrysler 300m isn't getting fuel what could be the problem and where is the fuel filter located

filter is located above the fuel tank. it will have to be lowered enough to gain to it to change. not getting fuel could be poor fuel pressure, check with a gauge should be about 50 PSI. first make sure the pump is working you should hear a humming noise when you turn the key to start. you might have to have someone by the fuel tank with the gas cap off to hear. if you don`t hear it running you can try hitting the bottom of the tank, it may jar the pump enough to start to work. if this works replace the fuel pump.

the fuel pump is burnt out. the pump uses the fuel to cool itself. running low fuel the pump heats up and burns the plastic gears inside. thats why the fuse blew. need to take out gas tank to change pump.

I put new starter and new fuel pump and is only craking the motor but don't start got good spark on coiol and the spark plug and still noting hany one haw a solution for that i will apriciet.

If you have good spark both at the coil and the plug, then your problem must be fuel. on the fuel rail there is a valve (like on tire) with key on, depress. you should have fuel flow, if not, listen at the fuel filler hole with the top removed for the hum of the fuel pump. If you hear the pump, and have fuel at the fuel rail on the top of motor, you will need to get help. The next area would be the injectors and they are controlled by the computer. The dealer will have to reprogram the computer. Hard but true.

Power window passangers side can hear motor small gear on end of motor does not move when pushing power button

That has a built-in `slip mode' on the gear. The works must either be stiff or stuck or the motor needs a new kit,or just install a new motor if the works inside are good. Not a hard job, really.Just drill out the motor rivets and bolt in the new one. don-ohio

I have a 2001 hyundai elantra and my fluid doesnt squirt out. do i look for a blown fuse or could it be the pump. i dont hear the pump so im thinking maybe that might be it but im not sure thanks for your...

Since you don't hear the pump motor running when the switch is turned on, the problem could be the switch itself, a blown fuse, bad wiring to or at the pump motor or the motor itself. Common problems with all windshield washer systems over time is the pump itself, but isn't ALWAYS the pump. Have the system properly diagnosed before you start spending money on parts you may not have to replace.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, illustrations and procedures, etc.

This should help

The motor on the sprayer for the windshield wiper solution quit working. No longer can hear it trying to pump the fluid.

Check your fuses for any blown ones. If you don't find any blown fuses to replace, you will need to replace the wiper fluid pump.

1997 blazer front wipers are not working. they used to work only when they wanted and now don't work at all. I hear a buzzing sound when I turn on the wipers, but they will not work. I also have a...

The buzzing is from the washer pump, probably just a broken hose. The wiper motor needs replaced. it is under the grill that the wiper blades connect at. several screws to remove along the top and bottom. The linkage either pops off or there is a clip to remove. Three bolts for the motor.

How do you know if you need to change a fuel filter in a 2001 pontiac montana or if the injectors are bad? If i can heard my fuel pump running does it mean it's still good?

UR OWNERS MANUAL WILL LET U KNOW. ALSO, IF U EXPERIENCE STALLING OR HARD START PROBLEMS.
INJECTOR TROUBLES ARE GENERALLY POOR MILEAGE, MISFIRING, HARD STARTING.
MANY IN TANK FUEL PUMPS U CAN HEAR WORKING, GENERALLY WHEN U TURN TO KEY ON. ONCE U HAVE THE MOTOR RUNNING, U MAY NOT HEAR THE PUMP RUNNING. IF U DO, I WOULD HAVE IT LOOKED AT.

Have a 97 grand am that cranks but wont start. changed the ignition switch. injectors are working and has spark to plugs. need help this is my only car

Do you hear the fuel pump make a whirrring sound when you turn the key to the on position ? You should be able to hear it. If not , the fuel **** is not working. Check the shutoff valve and see if the reset button is up. If it is up, press it down and try to hear the pump again when you turn the key to "on\'. If the shutoff is OK, but you don\'t hear the fuel pump. Replace the fuel pump.
