Antifreeze Leak & difficulty reversing on 2002 Dodge Caravan

I have lost all the Antifreeze 2 different times in the last year and we can't seem to find a leak. It was hooked up to pressure for 8 hours and still no leak.

Also I notice that when I try to reverse the van after it has sat all night the rear passenger tire does not want to reverse, it is as if it is locked. If I drive ahead, then I am able to reverse just fine. Help Please, tired of paying mechanics to not be able to figure out the problems.

I have not noticed different color smoke. I once blew the motor in a Ford Van & it was very thick White smoke, but I haven't noticed any of that with this. In fact the 1st time I lost all the antifreeze I noticed the thermostat get hot, pulled over & got help. the 2nd time I noticed all the antifreeze was gone, the thermostat didn't move, it started sprinkling and when I stopped I noticed steam from my hood & we re-filled the van with antifreeze and that is when I got it tested. The two times it was about 6 months inbetween & the last time it happened was about 6 months ago, almost exactly 3 months after it was serviced. I try to check the resivoir often.

Yes the Overflow does stay full, other than the 2 times I lost all the antifreeze.

I don't ever use the e brake, however with the icy cold conditions I have found that the antilock breaks get used frequently. Could that be an issue?

I will definately check the parking break idea. Thanks!

You prolly have a bad rad cap. does your overflow stay full ? so it vents while you drive only and you may never see the drips

well the rear issue may be a sticking e brake cable and or pad do you use the ebrake ? if not apply the parking brake and drive it around the block to burn off any rust there may be to help it stick( don't burn them up just clean them up)

Added antifreeze and my 2002 dodge caravan is still overheating....the antifreeze did not move from the reservoir....what could be causing this??!! Help!

When it is cool, take the cap off the radiator. See if you can see antifreeze. If you cannot, pour it directly into the radiator.

That last time I fixed this code it ended up being a leaking EVAP hose on top of the fuel tank. I had to drop the tank and put new sealant on the hoses to stop the leak.

Your best bet on that one is to go to a place that sells car audio systems or even some autoparts retailers have them, and get the proper adapter harness already made up. A few more dollars but, a whole lot less headaches.
