THE MEM FEED IS NORM YELLOW. SWITCH FEED IS RED, SOME TIME MAY NEED SWITCHING OVER, GET A BULB WITH WIRES ATTACHED AND PLACE ONE TO THE METAL OF THE CAR AND TOUCH THE WIRES WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE CAR, WHEN TO BULB LITES U HAVE THE MEMORY, THEN SWITCH IGN ON, DOO THE SAME. YOU HAVE THE SWITCHED WHEN THE BULB LITES. THE GROUND SHOULD BE BLACK , LEAVE THE LIVE CONTECTED TO THE BULB, AND TOUCH THE OTHERS WIRE TO FIND THE GROUND. ( IT WILL LITE IF THE WIRE GOES TO GROUND, VIA A SPEAKER LEAD SO TRY TO FING SPEAKER FIRST. SPEAKERS SHOULD BE MATCHING, (EXAMPLE A SOLID PURPLE WIRE, AND A PURPLE AND STRIPE WIRE WILL BE THE SAME SPEAKER

Wiring diagram for a 2000 chevy venture and a jvc stereo

It is impossible to know without more information, but purchasing an adapter is the easiest thing to do. You can even find them at most Wal Mart stores. This will plug directly into the factory radio wiring letting you make the connections to the radio without cutting up the van wiring. Connecting the adapter to the radio is usually matching colors and makes the job easy.

Hi im putting in a JVC cd/radio in a 1997 ford escort TD,Ive removed factory fitted Ford radio cassette, leaving 5 wires connected to a yellow plug,I have 3 wires coming out of JVC marked yellow memory back...

hi...well i know this might not be of any help, but you can buy a connector that plugs straight into the ford plug, and then you plug the jvc plug/s into that, not cutting wires no messing up the original connector just incase you want to sell the car with original system in it... http://productfinder.autoleads.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?&m=FORD&f=ESCORT&id=463&pID=6889
thats the link for it...if you tell me what colours are on the ford plug i could tell you what goes where...thanks

Im installing a JVC KD - A315 radio in a 2003 alero, when i took out old radio all the wires were cut and turned into speaker wire running all over the place the factory amp is in the back i went ahead...

There may be extra wires you don't need. The basic set of wires on the radio is 4 pairs of colored wires--one black-striped and one plain for each speaker. Yellow is usually accessory power, red is hot, and black is ground. Some additional wires may be one for a power antenna, one for an external amplifyer, and one for facelight (in case it will run on dimmer)
The car should have the following corresponding wires:
Radio 12v--- orange
Radio Ground--- black
Radio Ignition--- yellow
Radio Illumination--- brown
Dimmer--- gray
Power Antenna--- pink (if you have one)
LF Speaker +/- tan - grey
RF Speaker +/- lt green - dk green
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue- lt. blue

The car or radio could have additional connectors, such as for a subwoofer, CD changer, etc.

Radio/cd player went dead. Tried replacing fuses

Do NOT Cut and Splice. Your local parts store sells an aftermarket radio plug in which connects to your factory harness and then you can splice in your radio into the new connectors ends that are labeled for what they go to.

My factory radio went out in my car...so i had a new one put it in. After the guy installed the radio we noticed that my park lights and dash lights werent working. We checked the fuses and they were all...

I really hope that this guy bought a wiring kit to put in the aftermarket radio, because this could be simple. Your stock radio runs the dash and parking lights threw it's display and that needs to be looped with the new radio. On the aftermarket, there is a orange wire that does this. Since the stock wiring is different with every make and model of auto out there, you need to buy the wiring kit that plugs into the car's harness and matches in color to the harness of the new radio. Putting together the orange wires will give you back your lights. If this person cut the orginal plugs off of the car and wired it direct to the car, you may want to see if the plugs can be put back on and the wiring kit installed or you going to be going through a nightmare of figuring out what wire is what on the car side. Those wiring kits that plug into the car and wire up to the radio are cheap and can be bought at Wal Mart for about 20 to 25 dollars. Good luck

Wiring difference

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer, etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires. When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also, either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.
