Runs rough after warm up

Areas to look: Coolant temperature could be bad, located to the driver's side of the engine below the thermostat. corrode connections can cause the problem. Corrosion at the connections where it plugs into the air mass sensor. It's hard to see, but is is not that uncommon. Make a small tool you can get into the harness connectors to scrape each plug and then scrape the pins coming out of the air mass. The air mass sensor it self could be going south, but usually they act up even cold' Those would be areas I would start looking. Good luck.

Idle won't work in park or in gear.....motor just cuts down low and than quits this has happened before in cold weather.....am I looking at a sensor problem?

You are going to need intake manifold gaskets. They are basically o-rings that when cold allow air to bypass them creating a vacuum leak. In hot weather, or when engine warms up they swell and seal up the leak. Common problem.

Ferrari 360 will not rev above about 1500 rpm. Cold weather around 40 degrees F, but even after the car idled for 10 minutes warmed up to 200 degrees F engine temp the car would not rev above 1500. When...

without my greasy hands under the bonnet its hard to say but dont be scared of it just because it say ferrari on the front its still made by fiat and uses a lot of common parts ,now what i would do here is to test the mass air flow sensor with my automotive tester to see what happening and if the voltage is varying as it reved up before i start to even think about changing anything ,if this sensor is faulty then its not measuring the right air flow which will not allow petrol to be injected through the injectors hence its not picking up and i think it may be the cold weather thats affecting the sensor in some way ,remember warming up the engine will not make the sensor warm as it still has cold air being drawn in through the inlet pipe

You need to look for a hole or loose fitting clamps where your air duct runs from your air filter to the throttle body where the gas enters the motor. Any leak in this ductwork will make your vehicle hard to start and run poorly because too much air is getting past the mass air flow sensor.

Can I use 15w40 oil for the engine in a toyota corolla 1998 (gasoline)? Thanks.

Why not? You can use any weight you want. But,,, I run oil that is with the weather, We live in FL, and it gets hot here. 10w40 min. Multi-viscocity, It means your oil starts out at 10 weight cold, and as it warms up , it's 40 weight. The beads in the oil expand. A lot of people up north run straight 30 weight, I would want something thinner in there when it is cold out. So the multi stuff works great. Hope this helps.

Mine has 217,000 miles. Has run great up until some time ago, when it started driving roughly only in wet weather. Now in dry weather, it starts fine, but drives roughly after warmed up (15-20 min) and...

The knock sensor NEVER causes a drivability problem. DO NOT change it. Instead, clean the MAF, Mass Air Flow sesnor that's on the air intake tube near air cleaner. It is coated with varnish. Spray with carb cleaner several times and gently, gently brush the wires. Theya re glass coated. Be careful.

Then disconnect battery for 2 hours and then reconnect and drive for 0 miles for computer to relearn engine contrils.

Engine lucrches in idle in cold weather. warm engine makes no

SOunds like you are not getting dle enrichment during cold engine operation. Go to AUtozone or other parts store and they can run free diagnostci test for you to see if you hvae a fault code sotred telling you what is the problem.
Possibly injectors need cleaning. Buy a bottle of Techron Injector cleaner & add to fuel tank.
ALso, you MAF mass air flow sensor could be coated. Clean gently with carb cleaner. It is in air cleaner system or tube and has a small wire harness going to it. Good luck.

CHECK YOUR OXYGEN SENSOR AND YOUR EXHAUST MANIFOLD COULD BE WARPED AS WELL WHICH CREATES CONFUSION WITH YOUR FUEL INJECTION. YEARS AGO, I HAD/WASTED A LOT OF TIME/MONEY. A RECALL OF THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS (THIN COVERING) CURED THE HOT WEATHER SICKNESS, BUT I DID HAVE BLOW BY FROM THE
MANIFOLD WHICH VOLVO REGIONAL MANAGER COVERED AS WELL. IT TOOK A LONG TIME
FOR THE RIGHT V PERSON TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE HARNESS RECALL
