I just did mine today, 1998 Dodge Ram 1500.
The wipers are clipped on, not bolted on.
Open your hood and crawl under the hood so you can reach the wiper, pull the wiper arm off the windshield until it hits the hood then grab a flat head screw driver and pry out the black metal metal piece located just above the the base of the wiper(where it mounts to the truck)
It wont come all the way out, you will know if you release it by letting the wiper arm go and it should stay up off the windshield.

Once you do that you will have the wiggle the arm back and forth until you free the arm from the truck, usually it's a pain to get off but it will come off with forceful finesse.

Once the arms are off you will have about 5-6 torx screw caps to remove, I think it's a T-25 or T-20 torx.

Once the torx and arms are off the cowl should pop right off, there will be the washer hoses still connected, I left those on and just set the cowl in the engine compartment, but you can take it off by just disconnect those hoses.

You will have to remove the wiper linkage (4 ten mm bolts) one by the passenger wiper, two right next to each other under the wiper motor, and one on the driver side(It's easiest to stand on the ground by the drivers side fender to get that bolt)

Now the linkage is free you can turn it around and see the motor, it will have a wire harness clip into the motor, just push the clip release and pull out the clip.

The motor is mounted by 3 ten mm bolts, remove those and replace the motor, and put it together like you took it apart.

Yes its not to bad

flip up the wiper arm cover (careful they break easy)

then remove the nut (13mm) ? then you have to have a little puller like a battery terminal puller. just a couple bucks at your parts store. then pull the arms off.

then remove the screws that hold the cowl down.
put electrical tape on both corners to avoid scratches. they will be phillips or torx screws. all along the edge and also a few in the middle of the cowl so be carfule not to break it. it should come off easy once the screws are out.

then you will see you wiper motor assembly. look at it carfully to see if you can remove the motor alone or if the assembley needs to come out. which only has a few 13mm bolts that hold it in

I have a 1998 dodge ram van, the windshield wipers stopped working, the fuse is ok and the washers work ok. all other functions of the switch work properly. How can you test the wiper motor and wiper

Make up a set of jumper wires that will accommodate the wiper connectors and run an auxiliary ground wire to be sure it is not a ground problem and then jump power directly the power lead connectors on the motor.

Does any one know if a 1999 dodge ram 2500 has a wiper delay module on it. my wipers will not park.

if you changed your wiper motor and did not turn it on and let the motor return to park before installing blades,i would remove the blades ,turn on the wipers and then off and wait till they do park, then reinstall blades.
