Try getting under the front of the car with a strong light. Try to see if you can see the cable going into the latch that holds the hood shut.

If you can get ahold of the cable with your hand or something to hold the cable. Give the cable a firm pull towards the left fender ( driver's side) and that should pop the hood open. Good Luck!

If you can get to the starter, you can jump the car with cables to power it up. Hook the positive side to the red terminal on the solenoid (make sure it isn't touching anything else) and the other cable to engine ground.

If you can pull the grill insert (look for retaining screws) you can reach the underside of the cable hood release and open it with a screwdriver.

My car started dying and now hasnt enough charge to start

sound like bad battery cables.replace them.the positive battery cable is old and have a lot of resistance not allowing power to the alternator to charge battery.if battery cable good check alternator connector wires.make sure they are not damage also check alternator fuse and fuse link.turn off radio before removing battery wires so you wont lose radio code.

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse starts sometimes then wont and just makes a clicking sound, is my starter going out?

could be, unless your battery is dying. a nearly dead battery will make clicking noises while it is cranking. if you keep forcing it by turning the key from "run" to "crank" and it gets it to start it may be a dead spot on the starter.

I have a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse i change the battery but my car turn on turn off

this happened to me as well. I had it towed after it died on the road after jumping it in a parking lot. I had just replaced the battery and couldn't understand why it was still dying after jumping it. The mechanic said it was the corroded wires that were connecting to the battery. He replaced them for about $80.

Sounds like the battery is the problem. It's losing power buy a poor connection and the car's computer is trying to reset itself. Replace the battery and the cables.
