SOURCE: were the jack iron and how do i lower my tire if there's a flat

There should be a hole in the rear bumper, somewhere near the license plate . The end of the jack handle ( you might want to use a flashlight to see exactly what needs attaching to ) Once you install the proper tool into it, turn to the LEFT TO LOWER the tire down. Reinstall the tire works the the same except you turn to the RIGHT TO RAISE. Hope this helps

SOURCE: where to place jack to change tire with front pass

It depends on the type of car. It would help a bit to know which type of car it is. And I must say one more thing before beginning this explanation; HAVING A REPAIR MANUAL FOR YOUR CAR IS THE BEST WAY TO KNOW RECOMMENDED PROCEDURES. IT IS THE BEST $20 YOU CAN SPEND FOR YOUR CAR.

Frame- Place jack to frame or a shock/strut mount. If the vehicle is very old and you worry about mounts being weak then do not use the shock or strut mount. If the metal is weak the mount will bend and break off, then you will be asking us for tips about welding. AFTER YOU HAVE JACKED UP THE CAR ENOUGH TO DO WHAT YOU NEED: PUT THE CAR ON A JACKSTAND OR TWO. THE EXTRA STEPS ARE WORTH IT TO GUARANTEE THE CAR WILL NOT FALL ON YOU.

No Frame(Unibody)- Has a few areas where the metal has been bent and stacked to make the style more rigid. you can often find these areas around the sideskirt. You should see a sharp ridge running down the side of the car about 2-4 inches past the sideskirt. That ridge is generally okay to support Gross Vehicle Weight. I have also jacked up a car by using the lower control arm; where it mounts to the car, not the tire--DO NOT USE THE TIRE END OF THE CONTROL ARM, IT WILL RUIN A STRUT UNIT.

Wheel bearing noise on the drivers side. I think. when you jack up car the noise is there on drive side only

When you have it jacked up try grabbing the tire at 12 oclock position and 6 oclock position and shake the tire up and down to feel for excessive movement but if you do only hear it from the driverside you most likely are correct in determining which one is causing your problem.

I got new rims and tires for my 2008 HHR I keep getting alerts in the dash saying low tire pressure. Do I just take the valve stems out of the original tires and swap the with my new ones?

yes that is what you have to do but the valve stem in the original wheels are threaded you may have to get the new wheels machined

How do I change the headlight bulb in a 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

Access to change the headlamp bulbs is through the wheel well. The recommended method is to remove the front tire and then the plastic inner fender liner. Once removed, you'll have easy (more or less) access to the rear of the headlamp housing.

How do you turn off the GPS onstar in a chevy hhr

  • Open the back hatch of your Chevroleticon1.png HHR.2
  • Lift up the floor maticon1.png on the bottom of the trunk. You will see your spare tire, jack and OnStar unit. Unscrew the top of the OnStaricon1.png unit, using a Phillips screwdriver.

Remove the lid from the top of the OnStar unit box; you will see three white plastic cables running from the OnStar box to your vehicleicon1.png.

Unplug the three cablesicon1.png from the OnStar unit to disconnect them.
