Had the same problem with my '03 330xi. Navigation worked fine but radio and CD did not work at all. I opened the fuse box located in the glove compartment to check the three fuses associated with the navigation system and radio. #7, #39, and #41. All three fuses were intact so I put them back in. I then put the key into the ignition, turned it to position 2 and miraculously the radio came to life. I guess it acted as some type of reset?

SOURCE: I LOST THE ORIGINAL KEY
Unfortunately no. there is no way to get into the trunk with out 1. calling a locksmith 2. drilling out the lock. BMW is not like most car companies where you can just remove the rear seats and hop in the back. they use a piece of plate steel to reinforce the strut towers and give the car more stability. Here's the good news you don't need to open the trunk to charge the battery, you can do this from the hot spots in your motor bay. when you open the hood on the passenger side neat the fire wall there is a Positive terminal and on the strut tower there is a Battery Negative. using these 2 points you should be able to jump start the car. Also you can get a small battery cable and an battery negative from BMW (for a pretty hefty fee) and change the battery storage point to the nifty little spot where the jump points are.
