Try putting it over where it belongs but leave it off of the smoothe tensioner . then put it over the smooth tensioner last .. It slides over it easier than the others.

probly the idler or thentioner pullys. carfully spray just a few drops of wd40 on the center of the idler then the tentioner. carful not to get in on the belt. if u oil the bearing and the soond goes away then u need to replace the pully because it will come back in a few days.

Where is belt tensioner and how do you turn it to loosen belt to change

The belt tentioner pully is the idler pully in the serpentine belt system...
You need a long wrnch (11/16??) to fit the pullys center bolt...
Turn the bolt to the right ( righty tighty) and the tentioner will losten its tention on the belt enough to remove the belt...
Imediately replace the belt ... so its routing is not forgotten by time or distraction...
If there is still a sticker on the upper radiator support reflecting the serpintine belt routing.. then you are in a better spot to be doing this ... with distractions...

I'm working on Serpentine belt for a 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 with A/C. I am turning the idler pulley clockwise to release tension, but it doesn't seem to be working... I can feel the center idler bolt...

The idler tensioner might be bad. Can you get to move counter-clockwise at all either? The tensioner has a large heavy spring mounted in a pot-metal housing, so tensioners often go bad. Might be an idea to remove the tensioner and take a look at it.

I need to replace the idler pully but i cant find where to loosen the tention on the belt, i have the l6 engine

The tensioner is one of the idler pulleys, and you see that it is connected to an arm of sorts. You should be able to put a socket and breaker bar on the bolt in the center, and turning it counterclockwise should loosen the tension, slip the belt off, and let the tension off. You'll know if it's the right one when you start to turn it, and it starts to move.

Sounds like the tensioner bearing is frozen, not turning at all. You need to remove the belt and see if it spins.
