Question about 1992 Toyota Supra
Recently my Jdm 1992 toyota supra with the 2.5 L 1jzgte has been running weird. The engine light is on and when diagnosed it gives me the code 31. There is a leak in the valve cover but I wouldn't think that this would cause an issue but since code 31 leads mainly to the MAP sensor i was thinking it might but want to know if you guys can help me out with this.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

P-2716 refers to a harsh shift, and the issue is in the logic of the ECU. It is a known issue with Toyota. This repair is covered for 96 months or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Take your vehicle to a Toyota dealer, and have them perform the repairs outlined in Technical Service Bulletin TC015-07. They will replace the ECU if you vehicle has less than the time & mileage as described above.

There is a VSV (vacuum switching valve) , usually mounted on the back side of engine block, under the intake manifold, as well as the map sensor, that can also cause that code if one or the other is faulty. It takes some pretty detailed troubleshooting to confirm this in some cases, so if that's not in your line of work, you may have to have it properly diagnosed, or take a 50/50 shot at which one first.

p0171 is lean condition bank one. you could have a vacuum leak a bad map sensor bad maf sensor clogged fuel filter low fuel pressure. start with the vacuum leak first.

Check your switches for the VSC, some get bumped on (due to their location) and some get stuck in the "on"position.
