Question about 1998 Saturn SL
Here's the situation: Turn on my car, go to drive away, within like thirty seconds of driving, the ABS light, parking brake light come on and the radio shuts off and turns back on. I drove it for a total of two minutes before stopping at a gas station. The power locks wouldn't work. Nothing is on when the key is in the accessory position, when normally the radio and such should be. Take the key out of the ignition, for as long as it takes to pump 5 gallons of gas. Go back into the car, put the key in the ignition and turn it. Nothing happens, no lights, doesn't even turn over. Try this four or five times, finally starts. Sounds sort of loud in the park position, but in drive its normal. Drive away and ABS, parking brake and radio have their little fun and the lights sort of flicker, not much though. I just bought a new battery about a month ago. I just put in a new alternator about a year ago. Anyone have any idea as to what the problem could be?
Check battery wires for tightness. That sounds likely to be the problem

Put some pressure on the steering wheel in one direction or the other this may take the pressure off the cylinder itself and allow you to do what is needed...hope this works.
