Truck will start then when you turn it off it wont start but if you let it sit till the next day it will start

Fuel pump relay sound bad. Under the hood in the fuse box is the location of the relay. Look under the cover for the diagram to locate it faster. Hope this helps. Please keep me posted. Good luck

I would check the fuel pressure regulator, remove the vacuum line from it and start the engine. Look for fuel coming out of the vacuum port on the regulator. If you see fuel, replace the regulator due to a ruptured diaphram

To me that sounds like a really clogged fuel filter should be located on the frame rail under the van on driver side

if you try to start it . turn it over a couple times then turn off key and then try again immediately it prob will start. if not replace the coil wire that should take care of it . let me know how it goes. have a good day!

Truck starts, runs great, and sometimes won't start up again till the next day...Why?...battery is good...could it be fuel filter?


when you say it won't start again until the next day? does that mean after turning your truck off it won't start immediately? After a couple of hours of sitting have you tried it again. Are you sure your truck is running fine? is there a sulfur smell or extra warm coming form the floor? It could be your catalytic converter which is clogged, when the truck is cold.. you are getting enough exhaust escaping allowing the truck to run, but it will be very restrictive and I highly doubt that you are getting good acceleration, once this is hot is so restricted that it will not allow the truck to restart.
This can be a serious condition and if parked over dry grass or trash could actually start a fire. Take you vehicle to a respectable exhaust specialist.

My 1991 crown vic runs great till it gets warm..about 5 minutes, then starts to flood out and wont start back till next day ...then same thing....help!!!!


if it starts to flood it may be the coolant temp sender. it could also be the crank angle sensor. hope this helps.
