It's most likely you maintenance light, telling you its time for a oil change. If you have recently changed your oil then you just forgot to reset the maintenance light.

A wrench appears and 34a I don't know what that means and I don't have the manual, it happen two days ago. I put engine oil because it showed 15% oil.

That wrench is a maintenance minder indicator lettting you know that your oil's service life is at 15%, not that the level or amount is low. Have your oil changed and have the maintenance minder light reset.

I have a 2008 f350 superduty 6.4. Truck was running fine last night when I parked it. This morning,a wrench symbol appears when I turned on the key, the engine turns over but does not start.

The wrench means you have a drivetrain or throttle issue.

Most likely a TPS problem.

Dealer can pull the codes to see what the actual issue is.

Is the nut on a 00 jimmy cooling fan rverse threaded and got any ideas on how to get it off

I believe the treads are conventional (right handed) would screw the nut on clockwise...or to the put it ON. would put your wrench on and turn counterclockwise to remove. The tricky part is two-fold. 1. The proper wrench...2.Snaping the fitting with enough impact, that it will break it loose. The wrench (as you have probably figured out, needs to be a large one. ( I want to say these are an 1 1/8- to 1 1/4 SAE. or 28-38 mm) Not everyone has wrenches this large and attempt to remove with Channel locks, adjustable wrenches or the like. This can be an exercise in frustration. If the proper tool is not your problem, it might be the lack of impact...and holding the water pump pulley in it freewheels on the shaft (something else you are probably painfully aware of) you do not want to damage your carefully snap a small pair of vise grips on to pully...or hold a large screw driver in such a way as to impede its movement. With the proper wrench in place and pointed upward....wrap some duct tape or something protective around the top of the wrench, and give it a good firm whack with (preferably a brass hammer) to the left. keep in mind...Impact does not mean beat the hell out of means once you have the pully stationary and the wrench squarely on the nut....its the instantaneous force that happens when struck by the hammer. It will only take one good lick when properly executed. If you would like to check to be sure on the thread might try.....>>>

A engine symbol with a wrench attached continues to appear on the dash of my 2006 chevy equinox

I know of no such warning light on the 2006 Chevy Equinox that shows a wrench with an engine. The wrench with an oil can beside it means that there is scheduled maintenance required as listed in your owner's manual. You will see this when it it time to change the oil. The light that shows an engine is the Check Engine light and comes on when there is a problem with the emissions system. It requires that the ECU be scanned with a scan tool to retrieve the code that has been set. A trained professional will use this code to repair the problem.

The serpentine belt tensioner on my 2003 Corolla is seized. I cannot replace the belt.

Not sure if you mean the pulley is seized or the tensioning system is seized.
If you are trying to take the belt off and can not as it appears the tensioning system is seized, place a long handle wrench on the adjust nut that is formed in the tensioner, then double wrench another long handle wrench on the end of it.
Instead of trying to pull the tensioner to release the belt, place solid steady pressure on the wrench and wait for it to slowly collapse. It is a fluid filled shock that holds it in place and requires constant firm pressure to release; it will not just bend out of the way by pulling on a wrench like normal tensioners.

I have never seen on seize before, and the design of it makes it very difficult for this to happen, I have seen this complaint before though and it was just the design of the system that makes it appear stuck.

If it is in fact stuck, removal is best left to a shop, as it is very advantageous to have a lift so you can work underneath the vehicle safely; it is a very tight fit removing these tensioners.
If you do need the tensioner and you decide to do it yoruself, (only two bolts holding it on), besure to manually pump the tensioner 3 full sweeps before installing the belt, or the hydraulic unit may fail prematurely.

If you have any questions please ask before rating me so I can help you further and earn a good rating. I am always happy to elaborate.

Wrench light is on and odometer shows negative mileage

The negative number means the car should have had it's oil changed that many miles ago. Oil life starts at 100% for new oil & counts down every 10%. At 15% the display will always show, which means it's near time to change the oil.

usersteve83, your oil may have been changed but the timer not reset. Reset the timer as shown...
1. Turn ignition to the "ON" position. (do not start engine)
2. Press SEL/RESET repeatedly until the oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press & hold the SEL/RESET for about 10 seconds until it blinks then let go of the button.
4. Press the SEL/RESET again for about 5 seconds or until the oil life indicator resets to 100%.

Wrench = Maintenance Minder: Symbol letter & number...
Symbol A - Relace engine oil.
Symbol B - Replace engine oil & filter, Inspect front & rear brakes, Check parking brake adjustment, Visually inpest the tie rods, suspension components, driveshaft boots, brake hoses & line (including ABS), all fluid levels & their conditions, exhaust system, fuel lines & connections.
Symbol 1 - Rotate tires.
Symbol 2 - Replace air cleaner element (dusty conditions every 15K miles) & replace dust & pollen filter (behind glovebox) every 15K miles if mainly dusty or city driving.
Symbol 3 - Replace transmission fluid.
Symbol 4 - Replace spark plugs.
Symbol 5 - Replace engine coolant.

All above are taken from the 2006 Civic EX owner's manual.
