Question about 1994 Volvo 940
I have a 95 Mitsubishi Galant. I couldn't start it. It turns at normal speed but wouldn't catch. It was running fine the day before. I replaced the battery, spark plugs, and had the starter checked out fine at Autozone. I have gas in the tank and could see sparks when I tested the spark plug wire at night by pulling out the wire and connect it to a grounded plug and turn the key on. I listened for the fuel pump and could hear the humming sound. I sprayed some start fluid to the air filter and nothing happened. Could someone help me figure out what went wrong. Thanks very much.
Excellent description of your problem, I wish there were more like you!
I would be investigating timing issues? either ignition or cam? could the timing belt have slipped a few teeth? or is there a fault with your cam sensor?
Other than that have you tried a compression test? silly as it seems you may have head gasket issues.
Hope this helped? if so please press that blue button.

Greetings sounds like you might have a spark issue , you spark should be nice and blue , not yellowish like you said , and you should also be able to see it in the daylight , if you cap and wires are old the resistance is so high and the spark will be yellow and weak , the spark should be at least 3/8 inch long and blue , let me know how you made out ...........erich
