SOURCE: power steering fluid
if you have the 3400 engine the resevoir is up top on the front of engine,which is rt side as engine is sideways. will be a black plastic cap.next to alternator. if you have the 3800 i think it is down at bottom have to rech down to get to it and use a long funnel

i have an impala Ls 3.8 liter and (not sure about the 3.4 liter) but mine is located in the back of the engine near the middle. and get a long thin funnel because its down a little ways.

The reservoir is mounted on top of PS pump. (You need to find a new mechanic) Check online parts store for pics of your unit - you'll see pic.
