SOURCE: where is power steering resevoir

The reservoir is mounted on top of PS pump. (You need to find a new mechanic) Check online parts store for pics of your unit - you'll see pic.

Air bubbles in power steering fluid in a 2001 impala

Power steering punps tend to leak the oil is thin and seals tend to ware over time.
You may never see a leak because the pump is so close to the fan it blows away ends up on the inside of the hood .
The reason you see air bubble's is with all light oils if oil can get out air can get in kind of like a leak in your brake line.
You can buy power steering fluid with seal swell witch depending on how much its leaking may fix or slow it down but its not the end of the world if it leaks a little just check it from time to time as long as there is enough oil in the resievor it will work

Please tell me where does the power steering fluid go? I understand that its hard to get to but I cant find it

Sounds like you must have the 3800 engine. the power steering pump and resevoir is below the alternator this is located on upper corner of engine by the fire wall reach your hand down under it and you will feel the p/s cap you will need a long funnel to get fluid in it.

Easiest way to add power stearing fluid to a 2001 chevy impala v6 ??

Locate the cap to the power steering fluid reservoir
bc25493.jpg Remove cap and fill reservoir with GM Power Steering Fluid (P/N 89021184) or any fluid a knowledgeable parts department says is compatible. It may not look like much but there are a few dozen steering fluids available out there and lots of systems aren't compatible with many of them (wrong fluid will disintegrate seals, pumps, etc...)
