Question about Cars & Trucks
How long did you drive it over heated? Sounds like you need to change your oil more often, Maybe a Crank Bearing, Crank Rod, or even the Crank its self! Take a mop, broom stick, plunger handle works best or something of sort that fits to the form of your ear and scope around the motor placing the end that doesnt form to your ear to the engine block to find where the knock is coming from and go from there... Good Luck...

There is a pressure relief valve in the oil pump, it is stuck closed, this happens now and then, seen it 2 times, since the oil pump is a positive displacement pump it can produce 100's of pounds of pressure, the reason for the noise is that u have allot OF pressure but very little volume, the bearings are being starved for lubrication, replace the oil pump, DO NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK, U WILL BURN OUT THE ROD AND CRANK BEARINGS.

this trucks have very coming problem with the injectors stuck open or close, and some times they just works great and some does not, dealer has an updated injector assembly, i recomend you to install this update and spark plugs and plug wires, if you had replace plugs and wires recently just redo the spark plugs with the injectors
