Thanks so much for responding. I'm sorry, but I haven't tried this yet. It's just too cold! I'll try this out in a few days when temperatures are supposed to be above freezing! I'll get back to you!

Where is the water pump located in the engine

If you have to ask where the water pump is then you shouldn't be replacing it yourself. Obviously you've never done one before so you shouldn't try it.

I hear water sloshing around in the dash area of my 2007 grand prix. i assume the water comes off the windshield but do not know where the drain is to unclog

You shouldn't hear water sloshing around anywhere. Usually when water comes of the windscreen, it runs to the sides of the scuttle grill and then exits via the guards (fenders) and out on to the road.
The drains are on the left and right sides of most cars but usually you need to remove the inner guards to get to them. Once you find them, you'll need to probe them and remove the junk out of them.

How to clean interior hard surfaces of mistubishi lancer?

Clean interior hard surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild all-purpose cleaner such as Simple Green, diluted about 10:1. If you have vinyl-covered seats, use a conditioner made for that material. Avoid products that give a high-gloss, slippery surface, so passengers won't feel like they're on a roller coaster. If you have leather upholstery, dress the surfaces with a leather conditioner. Never use a vinyl product on leather.

Worn or torn areas of vinyl can be repaired using kits made for this purpose that are available at auto supply stores. Repairs are made with a patch that lets you match the color and grain of your upholstery. Worn areas of leather can be touched up with dyes or a high-grade shoe polish. Just make sure you match the color as closely as possible.

The dash presents a special challenge, with buttons, crevices and bezels that you can't get to with a cleaning rag. You can blast dust and dirt from these areas by using small cans of compressed air made for cleaning camera and computer equipment. Cotton swabs also work well here. Pay attention to the cleaning products you use on your dash. If your dash has a flat finish, don't use a product on it that will leave you facing a shiny gloss.

Clean air vent grilles with cotton swabs and brighten them up by misting on some spray-on vinyl/rubber dressing or accent spray-just a touch. You can also use these products to cover up light scuff marks on wood trim. Spray the stuff on a soft towel and then apply it to the wood.

Clean glass or plastic gauge lenses with a glass or plastic cleaner, not wax. Pull off any removable knobs to clean the bezels underneath. Ever wonder where the haze on the inside of your windshield comes from since you don't smoke? It consists of plastisols given off as the plastics used in many new cars slowly cure. Not to worry-a good glass cleaner should remove it. If your windows are really cruddy, you may have to resort to stronger measures, such as scrubbing with 4-ought steel wool.

Good luck, i hope this will FixYa.

Im not sure of whether i need to drain my transmission fluid when removing my right drive axle from my 1995 Hyundai Accent.

You shouldn't have to. Keep a drain pan under the area to catch any that may spill. If you have just the once side of the car jacked up then I doubt if any will come out at all when you finally pull the shaft from the trans. Eve with the car level on a rack very little will come out.

How much will it cost to repair a GMC 2003 Sierra 1500 V6 Differential Seal that leaks? I live in Michigan

It is very easy to replace either the pinion seal or the cover gasket. To replace the pinion seal, remove the driveshaft and let it hang ( it shouldn't come out of the tranny). Remove the pinion nut and the pinion yolk ( may have to tap it with a hammer). With a screwdriver and hammer remove the seal,,then wipe the seal area clean. Take new seal and tap in with hammer and replace yolk and drive shaft.

If you've got to ask, you probably shouldn't do it - but starters are easy.

Find the starter. Disconnect terminals from starter. Remove bolts securing starter. Remove starter. Reverse for installation!

The paint on my '78 Ford Granada (silver metallic) is heavily oxygendized. I have used a quality rubbing compound to remove it; however, after I wipe off the compound, the paint is blotchy, streaked, and...

Good Evening, after you compound it good, I would tell you meguiars hand polish would be something to work with because it will put the oils back into the paint. That is only something a good polish will do, a good wax will just wax the surface to let the water bead up and come off easier. Hope this is helpful.

Are Discount Car Care Products Known to Cause Harm?

Nitrusinc: WOW! loaded question! Depending on the store and the, sometimes on the product, it can be made by the same company but marketed under the store label. "O" Reilly's has a lot of house brands which are discount prices which either match or come close to the performance of a name brand. Often if you check the labels, there may be guarantees for the products. Both "O"Reilleys and Auto Zone can actually look up your purchases from the past. ArmorAll will only offer so much protection against the sun, no matter how much or how little of it you apply. Certain GM and Chrysler products, the dashboards would rapidly deteriorate and cave in with the slightest touch after a few years. The only way you could keep that from happening, was to cover them when the car was parked and exposed for lengthy periods of time in the heat and sun light.
Paint in many domestic cars were bad about literally peeling off the vehicles. It didn't matter what you did to maintain the finish. Clearcoats would start to cloud up and start to come off. Again it seemed to be more pronounced on domestic cars than imports.
No products in the world could prevent these problems from occurring.
Steering wheels near the top where they were exposed would fall apart. Ford products seemed to show the least deterioration over time of the big three as far as materials deteriorating. Anyway, the main thing is application. You must have a clean dry and relatively cool surface to apply anything onto a finish. You do NOT apply waxes in direct sunlight if possible! Here is the $50.00 question?
On some products there is not much difference in price between the name brand as opposed to the house brand/ OR stores may sales on name brands from time to time. Watch for them and then buy them. There are some differences in car waxes. You can go on-line to consumer's reports and often find comparisons of products which will answer your questions. If I'm not mistaken the primary ingredient in products which remove water is alcohol.
I hope I've given you some of what you are looking for.
