Question about 2000 Mazda Millenia
The warning light is telling the driver the computer has found a problem that will affect performance and emissions. The problem is serious when the light is flashing.
You need to get the computer scanned for trouble codes, most auto parts stores will scan for free in hopes of selling some parts.

The check engine light comes on when there is a problem with your engine and throws a code which it then stores. That code can be "read" by an OBDI/OBDII scanner and should give you the info you need. If it was scanned and the codes "read" the check engine light should of been re-set. If your car is running well have your mechanic re-set it; if it comes on again take it and have it checked again. No system is fool proof and there may still be a problem. Hope this helps.

you mean check engine light flashing??? if so then the engine is skipping and the lack of power putput will cause the trans to change gears constantly. is this the issue you describe?

You need to have a computerised car diagnostic done to the car. This will tell you the error code and what is causing this problem.Remember to always reset the car if there has been any replacement parts.Hope this helps.
