Along with the vacuume leaks I would check the carb. The accelerator pump might be out of adjustment or something else in the carb. Currently I have the same problem with mine and I just adjusted it and for 1 day so far it's ran fine but I have a holley on mine. Carb may be dirty also.

there are several ways to do it the first one that comes to mind is to get a toggle switch tg7000w is napa auto parts part number if not napa make sure its rated 50 amps or higher above is 75 amps
get some 14 guage or larger wire but conectors un hook your battery splice into the red wire that plugs into the distributer run your wire hide your toggle switch and there you go please leave feedback thanks
