I have the same problem, However I have changed the starter and relay. The battery was check and is only a year old. When i turn the the key to start there are no dash light or buzzing sound, as if the battery is dead. It has a standard transmission. It seems to not want to start when the temperature outside gets to about 40 degrees, weird. The car run great other than that.

It could be starter or starter relay. But before replacing check the wiring coming to starter, starter solenoid and starter relay, they might be loose or deposited. Follow this link
It describes how and what needs to be checked for starting system.

does it click?
is dash warning lamp all glowing key on, they must, if not battery is dead, or battery lugs only corroded, (clean em?)
are head lamps dim or dead, turned on?

Where is the idle located on a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited

It sounds like you do have a relay problem try switching relays around that have the same part number start with the starter relay when switching the make sure the key is off each time

Put key in.. gauges work.. have power.. wont start.. its not clicking.. i think maybe a relay for the starter, not the starter it's self.. 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I-6.. your oppion?

I THINK YOUR RIGHT! CHECK FUSES AND RELAYS FOR POWER ALSO IF THE POWER SUPPLY TO STARTER IS NOT A GOOD CONNECTION THEN IT WILL FAIL TO EVEN TRY TO START. GOOD LUCK!

My 93 acura legend wont start. Ticking sound??

That sounds like a dead battery. The ticking sound is the relay (a type of switch) which enables power to the starter motor when you turn the key. If the battery is weak, the relay will click, but there is not enough power to turn the starter motor.

MY JEEP WONT START IT CLICKS I HAVE REPLACED BATERY EVEYTHING I CAN THINK OF

If all you are getting is clicks when you turn the key, the first things to look at are a faulty starter, starter solenoid, or ignition relay. Hope this helped and best wishes.
