It is a 4x4. The "yellow" looking item in between/inside the black spring coil seems to be out of its joint. When I compare the left vs the right, the left side is sitting up high, while the right side appears to be settled into place.

you take it to a shop and have them replace the front drive shafts. there is a CV joint on each end. you need special tools, knowledge, and a lift to get this job done. get yourself a repair manual on ebay and scope it out before you put a wrench to it. they charge extra if you worked on it first.
