Does it have compression on all 4 cylinders ?
Do you have spark to the plugs ?
Was it running before you removed the timing belt ?

Did you make sure you set cam & crank timing ? If the belt is off one tooth it will cause this. Recheck belt timing first.

Serpentine belt squiks when I start the engine

When the belt starts to squeals, its time to replace it. over time the belt will streach and get glased over. 9 time out of 10 replacing it will stop the squealing...1 may have to replace your belt tensioner, along with your belt.....
Hope this helped you ??

The motor will turn over but it just spins. It will not start. It is getting gas and fire.

if the engine is getting fuel and fire,it should start. unless the cams out of time, have you replaced the timing belt? it may have JUMPED time due to a loose or worn timing belt.if the engine has 90.000 miles and the timing belts not been replaced, that is my solution. if you are mechanically inclined: remove the timing belt cover and inspect the timing marks from cranhshaft to camshaft,,,if they are out of alignment, then the issue is you need anew timing belt replacement. thank you for choosing!

How to replace a timing belt

That is best suited for a reputable repair shop. If the timing belt snapped and left the car not able to start, that's even more of a problem.
Steps: Unbolt the engine mount closest to the timing belt with a jack underneath the oil pan to support the motor. Remove all belts on the motor. Remove everything covering the timing belt. Take a hard look at the timing belt, is there a water pump? tensioner? etc... remove the timing belt and set the cam gear and crank with a socket wrench with the appropriate timing marks. Install the timing belt knowing kia's specs (aka, start counter clockwise, or start clockwise) set tensioner (if water pump is on the belt, just replace it while you're at it). jack up motor and rebolt the mounts and try to start it up. With any luck, it should start. If the belt is off more than 1 tooth, you WILL damage your engine, i don't care what make it is. Like I said, take it to a reputable garage to have the work done.

Timing Belt Problem-6 cylinder Saturn wont' start

If your timing belt broke, then it is possible that the valves in your engine got bent, which won't allow the cylinders to pressurize the fuel/air mixture, and it will let all of the mix to flow freely into the intake/exhaust manifold. This can be checked with a pressure tester that is threaded into the spark plug opening. A mechanic should have one, or you can probably find one at an auto parts store.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee : Replaced Water Pump and Drive Belt now Jeep won't start?

When you replaced the Water Pump, did you replace the Timing Belt? Any time you replace a Water Pump you have to replace the timing belt because it stretches out. If you did not then most likely your Engine is out of time and there for will not start, but it will turn over. hope this helps, good luck.
