If blend door works blower working check make sure you have enough coolant because suvs holds right much antifreeze.heater not working heater core plugged make sure both heater core hoses hot to touch if so problem could be temperature mode switch.

Blend air door may be stuck. I removed a pencil from a heater box before. It had fallen from the dash, down through the defrost vents and jamed the door.

Make sure the heater core is in the open position by using the shut off valve and turning it to open. next, you may have a malfunction in the direction door the directs the air flow in the dash. a lever may have become lose or separated. may be a bad servo motor not directing the door to move to the heater position. i would start by checking that shut off valve first on the heater core.

SOURCE: 2000 FORD Expedition both heater hoses get warm.

if the heater hoses are both hot its a blend door actuator, and possably the blend door its self, the way to make sure is to feel around under the dash . feel the black hvac box and if its feels warm then the heater core is good, you will have to remove the dash to replaced the bland door actuator and blend door ,i reccomend you replace both beacause its alot of work to remove the dash so make sure both components are replaced while you are in there

check to be sure you don't have air trapped in the system. If engine temp is normal, then heater water valve may not be working (if it has one) or temp control on heater control head is not working for blend door.
If trapped air, have a shop with evac/fill equipment, flush & fill system to purge air.

99 ford expedition front heat does not work rear heat works great.

There is a good chance that your blend door actuator located in the front heater box may not be working. The actuator (a white square device that measures about 2 1/2" square and 1/2" thick) is mounted on the bottom of the heater box direct center of the dash. Using a small inspection mirror you should be able to see the actuator (alot easier if you remove the center console) and the shaft that comes out of the top of it. With the key on see if the shaft turns when you change the temp knob. If it doesn't move then you probably need a new actuator. if it does move then there is a chance that the door it is attached to is broken.

1988 Ford Exppedition heater in the front will not work

I ASSUME THIS IS A 98, THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY A PART CALLED AN "AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR MOTOR" THIS MOVES A DOOR BETWEEN THE COLD AIR FROM THE AC AND THE HOT AIR FROM THE HEATER CORE, YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THAT ACTUATOR. .

No back heat in Expedition, Blows cold air but front works fine

Shelly,

Buy used parts at car-part.com. Look on page with * to find the cheapest part. Coud be your temp blend door (#2) may not be moving back and forth. Or, you are not getting hot water to the rear heater core.

You may have to crawl under the truck and feel the heater hoses to see if they are hot. You will find a group of 4 lines, 2 for heater and 2 for a/c. If hot, you know hot water is getting back to the heater core. If not, there may be a hot water vave that's not working. Not sure if EXP. has a water valve for rear.

Let us know what you you find. Good luck.

Heater valve

there is no heater control valve in this truck, heat control is done through what are called blend doors. So the issue may be the front blend door motor has failed, this is very common on all Ford heatimng systems except the Focus.
