SOURCE: 1999 Audi A4 Climate Control Removal/Installation

You have to remove the trim panel around the stereo/climate control to expose the screws that hold it in place. Once you do that, and the screws are removed, it pulls straight out and unplugs. No need to disconnect the battery and no tricks to it once it slides out.

SOURCE: fill transmission fluid on 19999 audi a4

LISTEN CLOSE. THERE IS A PLUG ON PAN. REMOVE IT. WITH A SYRINGE TYPE CANISTER YOU NEED TO INJECT THE FLUID INTO IT UNTIL IT STARTS TO COME OUT. THEN CAREFULLY START VEHICLE AND INJECT ANOTHER 3/4 QUART UNLESS IT STARTS TO COME OUT OR EVEN A QUART.LET IT RUN FOR 5 MINUTES THEN CONTINUE TO INSERT UNTIL IT OVERFLOWS AND TIGHTEN THE PLUG BACK TO THE PAN. i WOULD ONLY USE AUDI VOLKSWAGON FLUID AND YES IT CAN RUN $14 TO $18 A LITER

SOURCE: A4 airbag sensor

A4s are known for airbag lights due to the bag in the side of the driver's seat. The yellow connector under the seat gets stretched and opens up partially if you move the seat too far. It's just a quick opening but it's enough to trip the light. In mine, I ziptied the connector tightly together, then turned off the light (you need the VagCom diagnostic software for this).

Your ignition switch (the electronic part) is shorted. Replace that and you'll be good. It's a $25 part and an easy change but the steering wheel and airbag have to be removed, so if you don't know what you're doing around airbags, have it done for you.

Lights dont work when turned on but running lights come on. Is there a light relay i need to change. 97 a4 2.8 quattro whats the relay number

Your headlight switch is melted internally - happens a lot on the A4. You need a new switch and install includes removal of the airbag and steering wheel. Not tough to do as long as you know how to work safely around airbags. If not, have it installed by a pro - airbags can kill you if you're unsure of what you're doing.

Your headlight switch has failed - common problem. The steering wheel and airbag have to be removed to change it and the part is $158 new. Have it replaced and you're good to go.

Steering wheel and airbag must be removed to replace it. It's not difficult but if you don't know how to safely work with airbags, it's best left to someone who does.

Heater blower does not work on my audi a4, where

The blower motor is located behind the glovebox.

You will need to remove the glovebox and you will see the blower motor at the top right side. Remove the screws holding it, disconnect the electrical connector and remove it from the car. It is a tight squeeze, be patient.
