SOURCE: low oil pressure

the first i would do is to see if the oil sending unit is ok and if you gage is working right and if they are then checkout the oil pump.

SOURCE: torque specs on 1994 jeep

Main bearings at 80 foot lbs. rod bearings at 30 foot pounds. Make sure you check clearances with plastigage before you button it up and light it. Anything out of clearance may require an over or undersized bearing. Also, on final install, use a swipe of pre-lube on bearing faces but make sure the inside of the rods and caps as well as the backside of the bearing shells are absolutely clean and dry.

SOURCE: just need to know the

Running, pressure should be about 31psi....running with regulator vacuum line detached should be around 39psi A large difference indicates a problem, a small variance (one or two psi) may just be an inaccuracy in your gauge. No change when disconnecting vacuum indicates a bad regulator.

93 park ave.irs stuttering and it dies when u put it in drive

Could be anything from stuck on Tcc solenoid to a faulty fuel pump. May have enough fuel pressue to start but not run under load. TCC is in transmission and controls converter lockup if it happens at a stop it will shut the car off. My bet would be on the fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure and volume spec in a chilton book and install a fuel pressure guage to insure that it us at spec. Fuel pressure guages can be bought at any chain autoparts store there is a shrader valve on fuel rail that it hooks up to. Be sure to take all saftey precautions when using this.

Car doesn't seem to get enough gas to engine

Have you done a tune lately on the car?
I would also suspect a fuel pump problem is you've done a tune up recently.

On a 2004 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 it take about 30 sec to start I put a fuel gauge and it takes a while for the fuel to reach 45 psi I have to cycle the key on n off about 4 times then it will start after i

is this a double post, i just posted a huge full answer
just a while ago, on gc.
for same pressure..
the pump check balls bad,or fuelpumpreg inside.

last poster too, said awhile, 1s, 1min, 1hr what is while>
spec. is 1/2 min leak down or longer.

now, bingo.
leak down fails now.
yes the filers are all in tank
yes, the injectors can leak

Does a 2003 jeep have an inertia switch?

as always check all fuses first....fuse 12,19,and 24, for sure.
which engine,? there are many and a diesel.
each engine has unique EFI and specs....

did you scan the ECU? some engines has DTCs for pump pressure.
look there. using a scan tool.(any in usa work, newer)
my wild guess , car cranks but dont start?
just a clue here.?

looked at and there are no cut out.s.
no inertial, rollover or oil pressure fuel cuts.

the PCM controls 1 fuel pump relay that powers the pump.
we check fuel pressure cranking, to see if it meets spec.
if not , work that,
if good, pressure, then we back up and check spark
fuel is last, not first test.

and if you had a real FSM it does tell you all permisses
for it to allow pump to run.
it cuts fuel for lost spark is one.
or unflood mode.

1: fuses good?
2: all dash lamps glow key on,including the CEL?
3: got spark cranking? if not there will be no fueling by design (logic)
4: if compression is good, the engine runs with test fuel for
say 3 seconds, so you check fuel pressure cranking
and get 0 PSI (the actual pressure, is very important in this diagnosis.
0 , 10psi, 60? ( can be pump, 12v power to pump or regulator bad.)

that is the order, and if you get to #4 we work that.

I have a 1996 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo. it began to stall at idle and now will not start

Check audibly the fuel pump. It will run for 3 seconds when ignition is turned on, but engine not started. If it makes noise, you could check for pressue at the fuel rail. There is normally a schrader valve you can press. Tske care, fuel under pressure will come out when pump is ok.
if ok, check for eventual fault codes with scanner.
could be crank sensor.

replace the fuel pump, the check valve that holds pressure on the fuel is in the fuel pump. The fuel in the lines is draining back into the tank
