the belt that goes on the alt. ?? if so the tensioner is accessed from under neath the car. You will have to remove the right side tire and plastic sheild that is in place. When you look up at the bottom pulley you will see a nut head. If you lay on your back and look up at the engine, it will be located on the left or front side of the car.

SOURCE: replacing 2001 Hyundai XG300 headlight, how difficult?

1bd6158.jpg Here's a photo - remove cap, disconnect connector to bulb, move bulb retainer out of the way & extract bulb - installation of new bulb is in reverse order.
If you want to replace the entire ASSEMBLY, there are three (3) 10mm bolts holding the assy. Remove them, then slide assy forward to access connectors - disconnect them.

SOURCE: heater fan and cigarette lighter don't work

The fuse for these items is the second one down in the right hand row in the fusebox down by the driver's feet. Swap the fuse with another one to check.

How to replace a cigarette lighter socket

Easiest thing on a car. The new cigarette lighter socket is provided in two pieces, which unscrew from each other. The original socket is exactly the same.
All you need to do is disconnect the positive power lead from the back of the old connector, unscrew the back of the old socket, remove the two pieces of the old socket from the ashtray assembly, put the new socket in place exactly as the old one was, and reconnect the positive power lead.
Should take you no more than five minutes.

Hyundai elantra, cigarette lighter had power up to connector plug but lighter not working.

Two very likely problems. Most likely, cigarette lighter element is "dead". Try one out of another car, since almost every one is the same. Second option is the ground wire, which would complete the circuit to make the lighter work. You need to ground the socket shell, and see if that fixes the problem.

How do you replace the cigarette lighter in a 2001 hyundai elantra?

The panel in which the lighter socket is mounted has to be removed.
The socket is held in place by a sleeve which screws onto the body of the socket from the back of the panel. Removing this sleeve will allow the socket to come out. When you do this, make sure negative battery cable is first disconnected.

If you need help removing the panel, please let me know.

Need replacement cigarette lighter

You need to get at the back of the socket (female part) to unthread the nut that holds it in. These are sold at any auto parts store, and are kind of common. Replace the socket and element both.

2001 Hyundai cigarette lighter replacement needed

Depending on where the lighter socket is, they usually just screw into a shell behind. Put your finger in the socket and turn the socket clock wise after you have place the the shell ion the bak of it. Ashtraay or dash, The back part is there uness it's on the floor. You will have to do some disassembly to intall a new one so why not just put yours back together. Nothing is broken, just came apart. Good luck If need be , go look at one at a parts store so you know what I'm talking about and understand better your objective.

02 accent ciggarette lighter wont work

They hyundai service manual says the following.

(1) After removing the ashtray remove the facia panel mounting screws
(2) Then disconnect the connector from cigarette lighter
(3) Disconnect thermal fuse case from socket end
(4) Remove the ring nut and separate cigarette lighter socket from the thermal protector.

I hope this helps. I have never had to replace one (yet) so I can't give exact directions. Even if the fuse looks good you may want to replace it and see if that fixes it first. Sometimes they have miniscule hairline cracks that are hard to see. Hope this helps
