More often the thermostat may need replaced, sticking open will not allow to build heat...the least costly repair...Hope this helps.

2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L, heater control sensor 2 bank 1 error has appeared I've checked everything. Would this code appear if my catalyst converter has been altered??

The heater control sensor is for the Oxygen sensor. If you modified the catalytic converter you have upset the balance of temperatures in the converter. The sensor thinks the oxygen sensor needs extra heat. If the heater control sensor fails, you'll get the code.

Have 03 spectra with codes po650, poo30 and po134. charged ac clutch is engaged but blowing hot air. is all this related

To clarify, none of this has anything to do with your a/c.
Code 650 is for a problem with the check engine light circuit.
Code 30 and 134 involve the heater circuit for the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter. The O2 sensors have a heater that allows the sensors to start working quickly after you start the engine. The sensor and the heater circuit would need to be tested.
The O2 sensors have nothing to do with your car heater or A/C.

You probably already tried this, but have you disconnected the battery, waited a few minutes, then reconnected? That might clear the memory and reset the brain (pcm).

I have a 2005 nissina frontier. I had sensor 1 bank 1 replaced but the check eng. light still comes on with the codes 1148 and 1031

You were right in thinking if you replaced the sensor all would be fixed. But code 1148 means the sensor is not going into closed loop mode, and code 1031 means the heater in the sensor is not working.
Code 1031 could cause code 1148, and the actual problem could be in the wiring harness or the power source for the heater inside the O2 sensor.

P0147 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 sensor 3; Where is this sensor? And those that mean it's sensor 3 is bad? If so, where is sensor #1 and #2, and how many sensors are there on my vehicle??

Oxygen sensor heater,should be the one after the cat. 3rd one back,think there are 4 if it's a v-6
They put a heating coil in the sensor to get it to work faster when cold,emissions and all,
Won't hurt the motor ,easy to change ,spendy sensor tho.

I'm thinking about buying a 2002 range rover. It has a service/check engine codes of 134,135,155. Is it likely to be more than oxygen sensor problems? Please reply , Mel

with those codes showing, it could be either bad O2 sensors or there is a problem with the wiring to those sensors. Also, the wrong sensors may be installed. I'm assuming codes P0134, P0135, P0155.

For others viewing this:

P0134 = O2 sensor circuit-no activity detected (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0135 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0155 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 2 sensor 1)

The heater sensor I think you are talking about it is the upstream oxygen sensor. Sometimes the code reader just says heater sensor upstream and doesn't tell you its actually the heated oxygen sensor.

The heat in my 99 Grand Prix GTP only works on the passenger side of the car. The blower works fine but only blows cold air on the driver side. Is this the heater core or possibly a fuse. Any suggestion...

I'm having the same problem with a 2000 GTP. I think the problem is a stuck or malfunctioning heater actuator door (LH). I don't have a error code on the HVAC display (flashing man) so I think its a mechanical failure rather than a sensor / voltage issue. I plan to fix within the next week. I'll post a follow-up response.
