Our vz 2006 engine sounds like a chaff cutter we only bought it 4 weeks prior and have had a coil changed 2 weeks after that it made a chaff cutter type noise and went away then started again today

If it is the V6 engine...............

If the vehicle has done 120000 kms or more and the timing chain on the V6 engine has never been changed then it is possible the engine noise is due to a failing timing chain if it is still the original. The original TC is a well known part failure on that engine. You may also have a check engine light displaying on your dash.

You need to take the car into a competent mechanic that is familiar
with that engine or take it to Holden service to diagnose. Since I cannot hear the engine it is difficult to comment further. If it is the timing chain, which I have raised because it is a very common failure on the V6 in VZ Commodores once the car has run over about 120000 kms from new, you will not want to delay in having it diagnosed as the cause of the engine noise.

If it is not the timing chain, (and I hope it is not because it is an expensive repair you will have to do), have the car scanned to see what fault codes the computer is generating because if the car is running as you described there will be fault codes. Once these have been retrieved by the scan tool a proper diagnosis can be done. It is a bad idea to just start changing various engine parts hoping to stumble on the cause of the problem.

1995 GMC suburban keeps blowing the 40 amp maxi fuse

Most likely the switch has died. They over heat and melt inside and at the plug. Also look at the ignition wires under the dash, Sometimes they can chaff against the column or frame.

1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The Fuel Filter needs to be changed. It looks to be the original one, the fuel filter quick release clip is broken. The line will not come loose. What do I do?

if the black circular connector is what has broken, theres not much you can do but replace the
f/line.if its only parcially broke you can try pushing line towards filter, lightly squeesing, then
pulling may find a repair kit for splicing in a end connector.i seen this happen before
& most require a new line

good luck

My 2003 misubisi eclipse hood latch cable is broken how can i open the hood

This happened to my 2003 mitsubishi Galant... We wound up having to use some cable cutters and cut the cable, then pull the cable out through one of the grill slots, pull off the cover/sheath around the cable, and then we were able to pull the cable and release the latch. If it is already broken and you're going to have to replace it, then you're not hurting anything to cut the cable. Good luck to you.

I have a 2004 grand am. the cruise control switch is broken. how to i take apart the stearing wheel to do change it out?

First disconnect ground on battery. You should be able to split collar upper & lower halves & seperate from switch without pulling steering wheel. Tight access but I have done it.

Fuel injection fuse

you have a short in the fuel injector harness to ground. you will need to look the harness over for chaffs or broken wires and make sure they aren't touching metal or another wire in side the loom.

The power windows are not working at all. Tried the fuses.

ok,make sure you tried all the windows on all the door switches,,,,what i think you may find is broken wires, sounds like it,,,,,when you open the drviers side door, look in the crack where the body of the car meets the door and you will see a black wire harness, you are going to carefully cut open that harness loom with a sharp razor knife,Be careful not to cut yourself and not to cut into the wires inside the loom,,,once you got it cut open you will need to inspect the wires inside,,they get dry and brittle from all the opening and closing of the door and the wires chaff open and short and some even break apart,,ive seen 6 broken wires in 1 ion door jam,,,,all the wires for all the windos run thru here because of the master switch being in that door...,,if oyu do find broken ones go get the pinkish red **** connector, make sure they are heatshrink connectors so they are weather proof, fix all the wires and heat the connector up to shrink it tight then electrical tape over each connector seperately, then put loom back on and electrical tape the complete loom from door to body,,,,,and all should work...ive never seen a bad windows switch knock out all 4 windows so i doubt its that,,,but good luck, hopefully this helps you
